When looking at pick #3 I cant help but to think who Al Would have drafted, obviously the needs and personal would be different. But Al had a certain type of Player He liked regardless of needs. When I look at this draft I dont think he would have taken Geno Smith just because his arm isnt elite,Also Al didnt really like taking offensive lineman high.I do think Dion jordan would be a possibility because of his athletic tools and size.Al did let Aso walk,so If Al was still around I think Dee Milliner would be the pick for Al,He came from a powerhouse national title team,he has the speed, the size and Al loved taking CB's high.Thoughts?

While he did pick great athletes he did also pick them at positions of need usually. I dont think he would be that impressed with Milliner personally.

I think he would either pick Jordan or Ansah. Probably Jordan.

Good Question.......guess we'll never know the answer but maybe:

Margus Hunt DE

Tremendous athlete, huge upside but very raw, a boom or bust pick for sure. I think he would have passed the 'getting off the bus test'. Also I think Al liked to keep people guessing and I'm sure he wouldn't pick a player 'draft experts' thought he would pick (ala Jordan or Ansah).

The other guy i could see him taking would be Cordarrelle Patterson, physical, fast reciever with huge upside for the deep ball but needs polishing.

Did you see the Sport Science with Milliner? He's a freak too. Maybe not on the same level as freak, but a freak in his own right.

Easy. Al would have drafted the guy most people are still mocking to us. The fast riser with great measurables and mediocre tape.

Floyd.
If not him, Ansah.
If not him, Austin.

Jordan? Nah, he's a freak and all but Al never seemed to pick the defensive end freak, even if he should've. Ala JPP.

Definitely wouldnt be Fisher. Milliner is not quite fast enough.

Problem with predicting this is that after 1 1/2 years of McKenzie the roster has shifted in a drastically different direction. Assume we would still have Seymour and Kelly. So would we then pick Floyd? Probably not. It would probably be Ansah in that case, and he'd end up at SLB like Wimbley.

But then you have to assume we would still have Wimbley too...

Who ran the top 40? Austin? Austin then..
