OMG. This is fantastic. We open with the Giants. We play the Redskins and Eagles to end the season. (Start and End at home). Week 11 Bye. Giants then Raiders on Thanksgiving. No more than two back-to-back road games. This is honestly a VERY favorable schedule.

OMG. Finally a freaking meaningful bye week!!! Honestly, I don't think the schedule could set up any better for us this year. I could honestly see us being 7-2 before the bye week (assuming we address the OL sufficiently).

But, we also have a ton of early Sunday games. I can't remember the last time we had 7 early games in a season. We usually tend to be the featured afternoon game.

I have the full schedule up now.

Quick analsis of the schedule.

1. Open and Close the season at home this year!
2. Tough schedule after the Bye week, along with no consecutive home games in that span
3. Like where the bye week is
4. 1 set of consecutive road games entire season. 2 games wk 7 & 8
5. 1 set of consecutive home games entire season 2 games wk 5 & 6
6. 4 prime time games (5 Nationally Televised), 3 Sunday and 1 Monday along with 1 Thanksgiving
7. 7 Early games and 5 late games
8. Travel to Chicago in early December brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

The 2012 non-playoff team that has perhaps the best chance of advancing deep into the postseason this year is Dallas. Returning a relatively strong roster, the Cowboys face just one of NFL's top-five powerhouses. It can be argued fairly that every game on their schedule is winnable.

There is a lot of truth to this. Anything less than a winning season (barring some ridiculous circumstance where Romo, Dez, Witten, Ware, Lee all retire) and Redball is gone. This is the perfect schedule for him and this club. Enough easy games early to build confidence. Enough Challenging games to make you work hard - to earn it.

Look at the schedule... all of the really tough games at home with the exception of NO. I've got to think we will be the favorite against the Chiefs. The Chargers, Eagles and Lions are all winnable games which would probably be considered pick-ems or Dallas would be a slight underdog.

That being said, I don't think the team will be 7-2 before the bye but I could see it happening if we catch a couple of breaks.

Frankly I love the schedule after the Bye Week.

We very well may lose to the Saints. So we will have two weeks to have a loss hang on our heads and prep into playing the Giants. Then a short week for Oakland and then an extra long week for the Bears. Very. Very nice.

It's nice to see the national media agreeing with me.
