With the prospects ranked so closely, I don't think there will be too many surprises. I do think that Johnathan Franklin and Markus Wheaton make their way into the 1st round.

I also think that only 2 QBs come off the board in round 1. Geno Smith lands with Jacksonville and someone comes back into the first to grab Mike Glennon.

If I had to pick my first draft "surprise" it would be Jonathan Cooper being selected before Chance Warmack.

I wouldn't even consider it a surprise

I would be perfectly happy moving up for Rhodes or one of the top DT's. This team needs some big time difference makers on the defensive side of the ball.

Not a fan of moving up for a WR.

I don't think it's a corner for the same reason why I didn't think we'd draft Mo Claiborne last year... we don't value CBs high and we have bigger needs.

But as far as WRs go Patterson could fall and Austin is probably going to go top 15.

I heard we really like Sheldon Richardson though. If he falls, maybe we move up to snag him. Would be a great fit.

As long as we keep one of 23 or 25 to get our MLB with.

I'm not going to read much into the trading up rumor. Spielman used the media to convince Cleveland to trade up 1 spot for a guy the Vikings had no interest in last year.

I'm really psyched for the draft this year. Last year our pick was a question mark but it was down to 3 guys. This year we have a ton of options, and we could trade up or down.

Only player I really don't like for this team is Ogletree so I'm sure I'll be happy on the end result of Day 1, unless we reach horribly on a guy.

Honestly, last year it was truly one player (Kalil). MN did a great job selling the other players, but I dont think they had a serious interest in anyone other than Kalil. Maybe they had a backup plan (id guess Claiborne), but MN wouldnt have made that deal with Cleveland if they couldnt land Kalil.

Supposedly, they had a deal with Tampa as well but were hesitant to take it since they would have possibly lost out on Kalil.

This year, there is probably a dozen realistic possibilities, and two picks to use.

I am shocked that you have DJ Fluker ranked so high. I see him as an early to mid 2nd round pick.

Especially for Miami, they need a LT and Fluker is either a RT or OG. I think Miami will eventually swing a trade for Branden Albert, probably giving up pick 42.

And i have a hard time seeing an OG going in the top 15 picks. Just isnt a value position on draft day, but i could see a few interior lineman going in the 18-22 area.

Anyone else find the Chiefs situation mind numbing?

I don't understand moving a great young player just to select a player at the same position. Seems like a waste to me. Aren't you just right were you started.

Albert will be 29 years old, and wants a big contract.

Joeckel has great upside, is much younger and will have a much cheaper contract.

I can see the upside for KC. Joeckel is the best value pick they could make based on needs and Albert is older, more expensive and has trade value.

The Chiefs wont take a pass rusher (Houston and Hali), could take an interior lineman, and wont take a QB. LT makes the most sense if you move Albert.

I don't think Fluker should go that high but I've read several reports linking him to Miami and some even saying he could be off the board BEFORE Miami.

As for Cooper, I think his versatility will allow him to go a little higher. Supposedly, some teams like him at Center. Would help Tennessee fill any of their interior holes.

With a week before the draft, the report about the Vikings wanting to trade, is a perfect example of a smoke screen/ false information.

Get ready for a lot of the "reports."

Im putting together a multi round mock id like to eventually post. Somewhat similar to one i did previously.

Too hard to predict trades, but i expect Ryan Nassib or EJ Manuel to be a first round pick, and im not sure either deserves to be a top 10 pick. Im guessing Philly or Buffalo makes a move into round 2.

Some teams are hard to figure out.

1. Kansas City Chiefs – Luke Joeckel – OT – Texas A&M
2. Jacksonville Jaguars – Geno Smith – QB – West Virginia
3. Oakland Raiders – Dion Jordan – DE – Oregon
4. Philadelphia Eagles – Star Lotulelei – DT – Utah
5. Detroit Lions – Eric Fisher – OT – Central Michigan
6. Cleveland Browns – Dee Milliner – CB – Alabama
7. Arizona Cardinals – Lane Johnson – OT – Oklahoma
8. Buffalo Bills – Ziggy Ansah – DE – BYU
9. New York Jets – Barkevious Mingo – DE/OLB – LSU
10. Tennessee Titans – Shariff Floyd – DT – Florida
11. San Diego Chargers – Xavier Rhodes – CB – Florida State
12. Miami Dolphins – Tank Carradine – DE – Florida State
13. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Tavon Austin – WR – West Virginia
14. Carolina Panthers – Kenny Vaccaro – S – Texas
15. New Orleans Saints – Datone Jones – DE – UCLA
16. St. Louis Rams – Sheldon Richardson – DT – Missouri
17. Pittsburgh Steelers – Cordarrelle Patterson – WR – Tennessee
18. Dallas Cowboys – Jonathan Cooper – OG – North Carolina
19. New York Giants – Bjoern Werner – DE – Florida State
20. Chicago Bears – Chance Warmack – OG – Alabama
21. Cincinnati Bengals – Alec Ogletree – LB – Georgia
22. St. Louis Rams (via WAS) – Justin Hunter – WR – Tennessee
23. Minnesota Vikings – Arthur Brown – MLB – Kansas State
24. Indianapolis Colts – Jarvis Jones – OLB – Georgia
25. Minnesota Vikings – Jamar Taylor – CB – Boise State
26. Green Bay Packers – Tyler Eifert – TE – Notre Dame
27. Houston Texans – Jesse Williams – NT – Alabama
28. Denver Broncos – Damontre Moore – DE – Texas A&M
29. New England Patriots – Sylvester Williams – DT – North Carolina
30. Atlanta Falcons – Desmond Trufant – CB – Washington
31. San Francisco 49ers – Matt Elam – S – Florida
32. Baltimore Ravens – Manti Te’o – ILB – Notre Dame
