Per Rotoworld 4/18

The Chiefs have given the Dolphins permission to negotiate with LT Branden Albert.
This will set the wheels in motion quickly. The Chiefs reportedly want a second-round pick for Albert, who is in search of a long-term deal and a home at left tackle. After losing Jake Long to the Rams, the Dolphins appear very interested in accommodating. They have two second-round picks and plenty of money under the cap thanks to the back-loading of their free-agency signings. Albert will take a physical with Miami and begin contract talks.

Ian Rapoport ‏@RapSheet 17h
As I said on TA: I do hear #Dolphins are interested in #Chiefs OT Branden Albert. Big question: Will #Chiefs take No. 54, 2nd 2nd rounder?

FFGator ‏@FFGator 3m
#Dolphins granted permission to talk w/ #Chiefs Albert, #Chiefs "locked in" on LT Joeckel at No. 1 & more http://ffgator.com/news.php

The fact that we've given them permission to talk with him means to me that they're negotiating a long term contract and if that's the case, it likely means we've agreed on compensation for him (probably their 2nd rounder, #54). Assuming all that is true, I'm down with this trade. I'll be hoping for Margus Hunt with that pick if it ends up being ours.

Yeah, wouldn't mind that trade. However, I would rather have a WR here but if the DL, then my choice would be Tank Carradine or Corneillius Washington and move him to ILB. W/his(Washington)size, great strength and very good speed, think he could handle the position and give the team some rush from inside.

Now THAT is something to consider for sure. Otherwise, it just seems stupid to give away high picks for a QB and then sabotage his chances by dumping both the team's starting 2 tackles. In one move, they say "we are ready to push in the playoffs." In the next move, they say, "meh... guess we're rebuilding." Confused

Reid denies the Chiefs granted Miami permission to talk to Albert.

I'd be all over that. Are you talking about NFL AM on NFL Network? Who exactly said it?

I'd be willing to bet all kinds of money it's not for both 2nd round picks.
