Maybe he's happy that we beat Manning that week? Dumervil irony? I have no clue.

Anyways, this doesn't surprise me. I figured this would be the opener. I like it, get a tough opponent out of the way. And I'd rather not have to travel to Denver and play in those conditions in the middle of a grinding season. This way, we rarely lose games when we've got time to prepare, so I think this is about as good as a plus as we can hope for heading into such a tough game.

Elvis Dumervil, calling it now, will have atleast 2 sacks and our defense shuts out the Broncos. Cool

I've watched so many times that I can recall the outcome of 90% of plays before they happen within 1 yard. Smile

How crazy a game it had to be that Torrey Smith's monster first half almost gets forgotten.

Given the film they will be watching, we should plan on running the ball 40 times Laughing.

Sounds like the week 2 game for the Ravens will be the Patriots.

It will be a Monday Night Football game.

Awesome way to flex our muscles. 2-0 with wins over the almighty Brady and Manning. I'm down.

^^^ Not to mention, we would get extra time to prepare against the Patriots, one of our tougher opponents on our schedule. So there are advantages to playing both our 1st and 2nd games. Sure the opponents are tough, but if we come away with two wins, that definitely sets us up very well for the long run... especially with those teams being ones that could have similar records in the end that could come down to a tie-breaker.

The Patriots-Ravens Monday Night Football game will be week 16, not week 2.
