Okay, I was thinking, and what if Jarvis Jones, slides to 15, but we also have a trade with the Niners to move up for Austin for picks 31 and 34. What do you do? Trade down and get someone like Datone Jones and Jamie Collins (if he slides), or maybe Tank Carradine. or do you stay and select Jones?

I love JJ as much as the next guy but let Pitt have him if this is the case... Give me DatoneSETTER Jones at 31 and Jamie "I got a Dome Patrol poster on my wall" Collins at 34 all day over JJ.

My opinion...

I would trade down. I don't think that Datone Jones will be there at 31 although I would love if he was.

Trade down for me. Jones is a very good player, but the difference between the overall talent at 15 and 31/34 is not that big.

I would trade down and draft Jonathan Hankins and Jamie Collins. Hankins has experience playing virtually every tech on a DL so we can put him at DE or NT and it would help create mismatches. Then you add in Collins and we would look a lot better.

DE-Cameron Jordan
NT-Jonathan Hankins
DE-Akiem Hicks
OLB-Junior Galette
ILB-Curtis Lofton
ILB-Martez Wilson
OLB-Jamie Collins

That looks like a front 7 that could dominate for several years.

I hope and pray that we move Tez back inside.

What if Bunkley isn't the man and RR has this epiphany BEFORE the draft...so he decides to move Hicks to NT...What do we do at 15 then? I just have MAJOR question marks about Bunkley.

Well Hankins can play both DE and NT, so it works out, and hopefully RR knows that Bunkley is nothing but an average at best NT and Hicks or Hankins can be a stud.

I'd only trade back if I'm guaranteed Datone Jones and Jamie Collins, so knowing that wouldn't be the case... I couldn't pass Jarvis Jones to take the chance.

That's a tough one. I think we should stay put in that situation and go with JJ. I think Hicks is the NT of the future and DE is higher on the Saints' need list than some think.

They already said Hicks will primarily play NT next year, meaning we have a large hole at DE. I'd love to see us move back and land Datone Jones and Jamie Collins

Would love that trade back, but I bet a lot of other teams are eyeing up San Frans picks as well, we would be very lucky to get that value

No we wouldn't. That's very fair.

A team with 15/16 picks, the one that is probably the most stacked NFL team, needs a very good slot WR.

Yeah and our draft position is likely the most interesting one for the 49ers. The Rams pick at 16 and getting to pick 15 would be huge for them!

My man. That's exactly the scenario I want too. Going forward having Jones/Hicks/Jordan as our front 3, and Collins, Junior and Wilson as our OLB's, it would make a pretty talented front seven.

Unless Jarvis Jones drops, I'd trade back and do exactly the scenario you laid out.

My 3 biggest man crushes in this draft are Datone Jones, Jamie Collins and Shawn Williams. If the Saints could swing the deal to the Niners and get picks 31 & 34 for 15 (49ers get Austin or Vaccaro) then we would have a shot at landing Jones, Collins and Williams 1,2,3!

My only fear would be Datone going before the 31st pick... I think he will.

Or imagine the Saints trade the 15th pick to the Niners for picks 31 & 34 then trade the 75th pick and Chris Ivory to the Jets for pick 39!

31
34
39

Shocked
