Are we doing the the draft challenge this year? I believe JPN set it up last year, and I don't remember all the finer points of the rules/scoring.

Thoughts?

I have to have a chance to defend my title?? (It's all skill, you know, no luck involved whatsoever! Rolling Eyes )

EDIT: So these were the rules, modified to fit this year. Last year, I had a my sig made by Jamison...not sure if we can get a prize like that this year. I'm not much of a networker...anyway...you all in?

I'll list my initial twenty underneath the rules (subject to change over the week, of course! Wink )

"2013 PREDICT THE PICK CHALLENGE!!!!

The predict the pick challenge for the 2013 draft!! For those who are new to the challenge, you get 20 total picks to try and guess as many actual Steelers picks possible. You are able to use the picks how you choose; for example if you want your 20 picks to be nothing but RBs and CBs you can, the choice is entirely up to you. The winner is decided by who gets the most picks right. If there is a tie, the entrant who picked the lowest round pick wins. Picks are due 4/25 at 5:59PM EST, this thread will be locked until the draft is over. Feel free to reserve your spot and edit it as much as you like until 4/25.

Example:One members strategy could be based on focusing on getting the first 3 rounds correct since predicting players gets more difficult after that. Such as having 4 picks devoted to rounds 1-3 and about 3 for rounds 4-7. For instance: Kenny Vaccaro, Jarvis Jones, Cordarelle Patterson listed for round 1, so if one of those gets picked you'll receive 1 point. So on and so forth."

Shamarko Thomas, SS
Shawn Williams, SS
Phillip Thomas, FS
Rontez Miles, FS

B.W. Webb, CB
Will Davis, CB

Jon Bostic, ILB
Sio Moore, OLB/ILB
Jarvis Jones, OLB
Jamie Collins, OLB
John Simon, OLB
Malliciah Goodman OLB/5T

Cordarelle Patterson, WR
Justin Hunter, WR
Robert Woods, WR
Josh Boyce, WR

Vance McDonald, TE
Dion Sims, TE

Le'Veon Bell, RB
Johnathan Franklin, RB

UDFA: (doesn't count, but for my edification)

Marvin Burdette, OLB/ILB
Nik Embernete, OL
Ryan Griffin, QB
Anthony Capasso, WR
Justin Brown (borderline draftable--I know Treat has him in his 20, but I think he's brought in one way or the other--good call, Treat!)

The game is simple, you pick 20 players that you think the Steelers may draft. The winner gets the most right.

The winner most likely will get about 3 out of the 20 right with our 8 picks.

Your strategy for selecting players is up to you.
