Isn't the clock supposed to stop when the ball hits the net? They let a solid 2 extra seconds run off. I've never noticed that. I would have been pissed if I was a Rams fan.


At the time, there was no rule dictating how much time could run off after a successful field goal. That rule (I believe it's 4 seconds) wasn't instituted until 2002 or 2003

so many memories of Pat from my childhood... would of been a neat man to have a beer with and let him tell ya bunch of stories from his life.. RIP.

Absolutely.

I distinctly remember one Cowboys Eagles game at the Vet. The Eagles scored, and all Pat simply said was "Touchdown Eagles". It sent shivers down my spine.

It wasn't so much what he said, it was the tone of his voice and the way he said it.

Summerall and Madden - True A-Team.

Summerall was the best - loved playing the old Madden video games with him ans Madden calling the games.
