RIP.

I enjoyed listening to him and Madden when I was growing up watching football.

That's a shame. Madden just hasn't been the same without him.

RIP

Loved that guy. Rest in peace. He was one of the great announcers.

Very sad to hear of Pat Summerall's passing.

Having listened to years of lame tedious football (soccer) commentaries over here in England, listening to some of the fantastic TV and radio American Football announcers was one of the things that converted me to the gridiron game back in the 80's. The atmosphere was absolutely electric, raw and difficult to describe now.

I still have some old NFC East games on VHS with Pat and John doing their thing that I occasionally break out.

In that Rams v Pats clip, Madden said that what Brady just did gave him 'goose bumps'

The best thing I can say about Pat Summerall is that some of his commentaries gave me 'goose bumps'.

Great memories from one grateful Englishman. RIP Pat.

Isn't the clock supposed to stop when the ball hits the net? They let a solid 2 extra seconds run off. I've never noticed that. I would have been pissed if I was a Rams fan.

If anyone knew what Adam Venetieri was going through it was Pat Summerall.

Ten seasons and 100 FG's.

Madden and Summerall were a great broadcast team.

Anyone who can put up with Madden for that long deserves a lot of credit in my book.
