According to Tim Graham's tweet Coach Marrone will switch Aaron Williams to safety this year.

I wonder what type of impact this will have on the draft. Will Safety be a ? or will be CB now be a need for depth?

It's about time! Great move. His style of play is much more suitable for safety.

Hopefully he comes around in the new position... he's a really nice guy. Met him a few times, he really loves it here so I hope he succeeds.

If we would have brought in Rhodes I would feel more confident about that. It sure would be pretty funny if we turn out to be right Laughing

It will be nice to have some flexibility and I think will help the passing defense on obvious passing downs playing him and Byrd together allowing Byrd to be more aggressive.

Aaron Williams coming out of the draft was considered more of a S propsect than CB prospect.

Glad he is switching positions. Now I dont think we need to go safety until the later rounds if at all.

I agree, but it seems odd that we brought a bunch of safeties in for predraft visits and no CBs.

I think CB is more of a need then safety at this point. Just because the bills only have 3 decent cb between Rogers, Gilmore and Leodis. IF milliner is there at 8 the bills should take a hard look at him even if they paid leodis. I still think trading back in the 1st rd is the best option for the bills

Justin Rogers? Not sure he will even win the #3 spot.

Brooks pretty clearly outplayed him last season, I mean Rodgers was terrible in the nickle spot last season, who would want him there again?

Turned out we got 2, I know Duke can play CB too but it's not his natural position, so this now begs the question, does Aaron switch back to CB or do we roll with what we have there, plus Duke?

Btw sorry for the bumping of threads, just want to keep the forum activity going and I'm still on a football high, post draft Smile

Buddy nix was on siruis radio yesterday saying they brought in Duke for the potential to move to CB. Its on Coach Marrones staff to figure out what to do with him but he envisions him at Cb more then safety.
