Moore is talented, no question about it, so it's hard to say this, but if these work ethic concerns have any truth, and they certainly seem to, he can't be our pick in round two...round three, sure, but not round two.

I take work ethic very seriously after the Alan Branch fiasco. When I was young, and new to this scouting thing back in 04-07, whenever a player had off-field issues or work ethic issues, I just threw them aside...all I cared about was talent and productivity...fast forward a few years, it is one of the first things I look for in a prospect.

It's not just Alan Branch...it is also life experience as well. Now that I am an active member of the work force, and have worked with dozens of different people over the past six years, I now realize that some people are just lazy. There is nothing you can do for them either...trying to motivate someone who can't be motivated is a fool's errand. It does not matter if they have the ability to do a great job if they take no pride in their work.

I am a massive Warford fan, dont get me wrong.

However, should we go Johnson in the 1st (count me out on that pick) I think Warford is a luxury pick and Moore is the one that could be a world beater.

We could still get a good 2nd guard in round 3 (Thomas TEN) comes to mind and then go G - OLB - G first three picks.

Really it is a perfect scenario.

Hope it occurs Saturday week (we are a day ahead here) for us.

If we draft OL in the 1st, I think Jamie Collins would be great in the 2nd. A much better schematic fit than Damontre Moore.

Please tell me huge providing a massive upgrade at RG (Warford over Snyder) is a "Luxury"

The offensive line is a unit, individuals can only play as well as the unit as a whole.

We take Johnson it is not going to matter too much if Adam Snyder is still getting the crap kicked out of him at RG.

That is jsut a stupid move. Put a guy who has never played Guard in his life, is a good outside pass pro guy but struggles to gain push in the run game, into Right Guard in the NFL.

Makes no sense, just a stupid move to even think about doing that.

youre right. Levi is better suited for playing inside but it seems the staff prefers Levi at tackle an Massie moving inside

I like Massie at RT

Think he could be there for years.

I watched alot of OU games the last 2 years and cannot see the Johnson hype.

Every time I watched him he was getting passed by and bullied.

That is not the player I want a #7.

Warmack, Jordan, Mingo, there are a lot of names higher up my board than Johnson.

I'm just going to make an assumption about what DJ is saying - he'd have Levi bump Adam Snyder out of his spot and keep Daryn Colledge at LG.

I'm of the opinion that moving on from both Adam Snyder and Daryn Colledge will have to take place over the next year - both contracts are not acceptable given the level of production. If Levi proves to be a really good guard then I think his contract is OK given his versatility in backing up 4 positions on the line - but if he's not a good guard then his contract may not be worth it either long term in the scenario where we draft a 1st round OT.

Digesting all of that to me means even after selecting an OT in the first round we have plenty of need to justify taking an OG in the second if he's the top guy on our board.

Plus we have already acknowledged the fact that Moore has a terrible work ethic and likely takes plays off (At least that's the impression I get)

But he is the opposite of most players.

He has game tape to back it up.

Yes he is not a work out freak (apparently) but that can change.

What do you value more, someone that produces on Sat/Sun or someone that works hard during the week?

Moore actually has a very good motor on the field. He doesn't take plays off. He's just lazy off the field.

Someone that produces Sat/Sun AND puts in the work during the week.
