Camp arms are underrated. Like db424 said they help keep the arms of starting QBs (like Flacco) fresh for the season. If there's one guy you don't want overworked before the season starts it's your $120 million QB. Taylor alone probably isn't enough to take a lot of reps away from Flacco and he's not a particularly good thrower anyways. That's not saying Hanie is but he's better than nothing. I don't expect him to make the roster at all so this is no big deal to me.

Also, he'll be better than a udfa or late rounder at giving a look against defenders in training camp.
