Don't you know? They should have traded everything for Foles.

Laughing you guys crack me up. I'm gonna be having fun on here when Foles starts lighting the league up. I already know its going to be, "complete product of Chip Kelly's offense." Gonna be fun though.

I'm going to have to have this saved for when Foles is never anything special as a starter.

While I'm not sold on Stafford right now, Foles is nothing but a fringe backup.

Just a case of arguing against general agreement. Theres a word for it...

What's a word for people who can't see anything beyond what is considered conventional wisdom so in turn they resent anyone with an original thought and dismiss them as contrarians?

Laughing You're never right.
Let's not derail the thread. Stafford is going to be mad overpaid. Maybe the money will drive him to live up to his potential?

I'd wait it out. It will be cheaper to resign him next season if he doesn't bounce back to 2011 form and if he does it'll be completely legitimate to overpay him then.

Not sure how you can say that. I was correct about pretty much everything this season.

Don't resent your thought. I'm all for players who don't have any NFL talent making it big (I'm a Lions fan after all.)

Foles hasn't shown anything NFL worthy. Not going to hate on the guy if he succeeds or not. IF he does, good for him. If he doesn't, just another day in the life of an NFL player.

Just because you are going against the grain doesn't make you thought provoking or an NFL guru. Doesn't make me one of the sheeple either. I'm guessing you have a built in excuse if things go one way or another. I'm also assuming that you would just avoid anything you are wrong about or have excuses for that as well.

Its all good man. I'm not a Foles fan but I could be wrong and wish him the best. I'm on the fence about Stafford but I have my concerns and any type of large contract to him which just be stupid at this point. I could be wrong about that too.

I'm not a fan of Stafford, but it could be a good deal for the Lions if they can get him at a discount after a bad year.

Flacco type money isn't a discount.

If he is a franchise SB type winning QB this is worth it.

If he is 2012 Stafford, the Lions ineptitude continues.
