I don't think so. Veldheer is a good LT he is in his contract year. He has been working hard this offseason. I see no reason why they would take a LT with the 3rd pick. Too many needs on defense.

The market is flooded with RT no one wants to pay them.

IMO Reggie hopes fisher is there and someone wants him enough to trade up for him. If not i think he drafts DT Floyd, Star , or edge rusher Jordan , Ansah

If a trade down with Miami Richaedson , Mingo , Sly Williams , Warmack , Fluker , Tank are options.

Is there any guarantee that Veldheer re-signs?
No guarantee that anyone resigns. That said, I suspect he will be ecstatic to resign.

I'd say smokescreen. There is a chance Eagles draft Fisher at 4, so Reggie probably just creating so drama here. I doubt Raiders draft a RT with so many holes on defense.

All I know is I can't wait for draft day. We have no idea what direction we are going to go in and the anticipation is killin me. Should be a fun draft. I'd take Fisher because that means Barnes won't be on the field and when ever that a factor it's a win in my book.

So he won't be franchised.... Because we were the team that believed in him. 2 pretty easy reasons, if we're offering the money he wants.

Like I said that's assuming he is motivated by money. Much like everyone else on here, i don't know what motivates him, he might want to play for a contender and even the most optimistic fan will say we are a few years away.

At this point in his career, money will come first. And not just money, but the security of knowing that he won't have to risk his long term future by playing on a year by year contract. Well have the money to franchise him back to back seasons if needed.

Good point about the franchise tag, that's assuming Reggie wants to pay him top 5 LT money.

If Fisher is the pick (and looks like the real deal), I wouldnt expect us to franchise Veldheer, though I still would expect us to try like hell to lock him up long term.

Well an offense won't win the super bowl this year, however it will make us a more interesting team to watch and get us a few more wins.

Barnes has played pretty well in the past at LG. I could see him switching to an inside guard position.

If we draft him he's not gonna be a RT. The team seems very impressed by him having coached him at the senior bowl and the workout. If Veldheer has a great year we have plenty of money to keep whether it be long term or franchise tag.

Id prefer a trade down of course, but if it can't happen you have to go BPA.
