I'm kind of surprised. I thought for sure they were done with him.

Not that i mind. He certainly has the talent to make the 53. He just needs to stay healthy.

I think this is a "Not going to reach for a position of need" signing. If there is clear better value than RB at our picks in rounds 1-4, they won't force it and take a RB anyway. Given how RB seems pretty devalued in this draft, I think we'll get someone at 53 or 84 that is pretty good value at RB, hopefully my boy Jonathan Franklin.
