Making room for a Dansby/Jones/Rhodes signing?

Possibly. Not that we are really tight on money, but this only makes sense - clears something like 2+ million off the books.

Our CB depth is ridiculous, no way he sees the field this year anyway.

I would have waited til after the draft to do this. It's a bit of a favor to Allen in that it lets him find his next team ahead of the draft.

$2 million would only cover 4-5 months, 6 tops.

You'd be surprised by how filling the value menu is.

Or maybe the Bengals are going for the big splash and telling him, "Hey, fat tits. Resign here and we'll build a McDonald's in the locker room!"

Let's keep the Andre Smith talk in the Andre Smith thread. This thread should be for poems commemorating Jason Allen.

I'll put my Jason Allen cut tribute in Haiku form

Jason Allen pro
If only you weren't so cursed
Boom, there goes the knee

Four games just three tackles
One special team too

Or like the easy button that sings songs sang poetically
"na na na na, hey hey hey, Good bye
