PIT offering 2014 6th for our third 7th rounder #229

I'm inclined to accept it, if there is no more must have prospects.
Chime in quickly, as the pick would be on the clock in 2 hours.

I'd 100% accept it.

I'm going to accept the trade, we've selected alot of great rookies consistently through this draft, and its best to move value into 2014.

so the only offensive players we took ended up being wide receivers. interesting.

With FFMD(II) coming to a close, our offseason will be judged based on our picks/trades/addressing needs/overall direction.

I am hoping I can tap some of the sources here for potential writeup.
I'll form the final product post afterwards in the dedicated thread on the Mock GM Board.

rpmwr19 - I'm hoping you can lend us your 2cents write up on the financial impact of moving Jared Allen creates for us in terms of opening up salary room (current & potential) for the future signing of Everson Griffen, Cook etc, while still recouping nice value for him based on age/production. Maybe a smaller write up for the future salary impact of releasing Chris Kluwe and replacing him with the top ranking punter in Jeff Locke over a "4 year span"

The Gnat - could you do the final roster ?

Anyone can chime in Draft Pick Justifications aswell.

I've got a few assignments to catch up on this weekend, but I'm also on call Tonight-Sunday + three office hours per night. I will likely end up having time for such a write up.

I will do my best. Thanks for running this.

That sound good.
It doesn't have to be overly long or anything.
If possible a small tid bit on the potential if we moved on from Robison (due to salary demands, slip in production) and the savings that would open up as well following season, & starting both Werner & Griffen at DE.

I'll take point on overall direction & concept of the offseason & going with a more pass pressuring D-Line and planning for the future, while building the team thru value picks consistently. (And Ponder writeup)

Maybe someone else can do a short WR write up. We spent 3 picks on WR, theres clearly a reason, even though we are rightly a run-first team. VD you interested?

thanks, but i think vikingsrule is better suited to. he understands the highs and lows of these guys better, and is a very fine writer.

So, i had something unexpected dropped on my plate and I now have to put together a rehabilitation plan for one of our athletes on top of my other home work.

I do not think I'll be able to create the summary.
