Former Vikings CB Antoine Winfield is expected to visit the Seahawks early next week, according to a source.
Sean Jensen @seankjensen
The Vikings, we’re told, are actively trying to re-sign Winfield. And the Vikings have more to work with than washington does; they have $4.4 million in cap space while the Redskins have only $669,000.

Winfield's representatives have been in regular contact with the Vikings, but it remains unclear if a reunion will happen. His decision was on hold last week because he was on vacation.

At the right price I think he would be a great pick up for us. _________________ ....

I would love this pick up. He's exactly what we want in the slot. _________________

I completely agree.
But Scrabble just signed with SF for 1.5 and 0 guaranteed. If we could get him on a simular contract we could still draft a nickel CB and let them fight it out. |

Unless Leon McFadden were to fall to the 4th, we'd snag him, but aside from him if we sign Winfield I think that pretty much eliminates the need for a Nickel guy in 2013.
If we could get Winfield for that money I would love it. I have to believe he'll be a little more expensive, however. Maybe 2.5-3M per year for 2 years. I would definitely take that for what he offers. Great run defender where we need it and can be physical with his man inside.
If we sign him, I have to believe Percy Harvin will have some impact. If that's the case, you can essentially just add Winfield to the trade we made for Percy. _________________

Unless Leon Sandcastle were to fall to the 4th, we'd snag him, but aside from him if we sign Winfield I think that pretty much eliminates the need for a Nickel guy in 2013.

Id match that and use the usual Carroll/Schneider tricks to not let him leave without a deal. We've had alot of success at bringing guys in on very good value deals at vet like Winfield makes alot of sense ending up here.
Tho I really like the idea of Winfield, I really hope that PC and JS don't think we can go into next season with the current talent on the OL, especially the right side.
Really want to see atleast a guy like Winston brought in, preferably Clabo. _________________ L.O.B.- D!CK, BOOM BOOM, ET, BB. |

OG is the real issue. Breno is a decent enough starter. With a good OG next to him, he should be fine for now. |

Question is who is that OG to put next to him? There's not a ton on the OG market. I think Clabo is a HUGE upgrade on Breno and could be cheaper as well. _________________ L.O.B.- D!CK, BOOM BOOM, ET, BB. |

Would love him to be our slot guy. Take care of this then focus on that OL. Not nearly as deep as I would want to be. It is great Russell can escape like he does, but he should not always need to. _________________

I say the draft but there is definitely a better market for OT. If the $$ are right I'm all for bringing in a new OT and cutting Breno. |

i agree completely! I think were set in the secondary if we sign him, between WT3 and him we will be fine. also if Tru signs for cheap again which i think he will and we will take him, I like Malcom Smith at Lber and if chris comes back strong we only really have to take OL _________________ Go Hawks!
