Finally got around to updating this. The last month has been pretty hectic as I imagine the next month will be and all of those cuts took a while to process.

As we sit now, I show us at $10.4 million in cap space. With the talent (read: depth) we have at the positions, I wouldn't be surprised if we released Tramon Williams and/or didn't re-sign BJ Raji. Of course there's a long season ahead, but they seem like potential moves that wouldn't be beyond Ted Thompson.

cannot foresee any situation in which Raji is not re-signed.

What would you be willing to pay the guy?

Assuming we extend Shields, with House, Hayward, Hyde at corner, I would agree that Williams might be a cap casualty.

So Tramon will likely be gone, that is a sizable cap chunk, so will JMike.

That should be PLENTY to tie into Raji without it hurting if he takes the 8 mil. Hell we should be able to get Nelson in as well without it hurting too much simply on those two contracts alone.

So I finally managed to get this darn thing updated and hope to keep it so throughout the offseason.

Right now I show us at $28.4 million in cap space heading into 2014 and $5.5 million allocated to our rookies. That leaves us with $22.9 million in cap space for this offseason.

Also, if anyone has access to PFF and wants to get me some of the stats from this year (or give me a temporary login), I'll be glad to create some dollars per stats metrics.

Correct, based off the projected cap. 22.9 does include expected rookie salaries though. We have 22.9 to spend in free agency and on extensions.

oof. I thought they had more cap space than that. Really hope they do an extension for Tramon and lower his cap hit.

Have to save like 5 or 6 mil to sign replacement players for those who end up on the IR. Think the rookie number may be low once the compensatories are announced.

Its a long list of our own guys. Don't think we'll be signing any FAs.

I have them penciled in with the top 4th round compensatory selection and a semi-high 7th.

That's pretty close to what I have. I finally got around to crunching numbers, so I'll hopefully be able to do a breakdown sometime this week.

Raji will not be back. Guy has reportedly turned down big money to stay. He's gone. Its Jennings all over again. Hopefully somebody in the division overpays for him. That'd be hilarious.

Others have floated our cap between 34 and 35 million. I show $34.7 with the carryover from the NFLPA website and the $133 cap for the new league year. The odds of cutting Tramon have significantly fallen IMO.
