Rolando McClain's $2.1M '14 base salary guarantee voided with his '12 suspension. He counts as $7.26M in dead money on the Raiders' cap.

Which makes sense for the 8.whatever number in cap space before Jenkins/Carter signings.

So how much did we save as oposed to where we thought we were?

And where are we with the cap now?

I figured we saved something when we were able to sign Jenkins and Carter.

So what is the update???

Not sure where we are now but it means McClain's cap hit increased by 500K when he was cut so it didn't make much of a difference.

Pretty easy to see that happening. Ozzie Newsome has the in with Alabama and likes their players. They have a need at MLB. It was obvious that's where he'd end up.

Still a D bag.

True but I was mocked for saying it. He will be successful there I believe.

Naw I'm sure we've all said that at some point in the off season. I know I did when I read his tweet about thanking the raiders for the opportunity blah-blah-blah...

McClain=[inappropriate/removed]

Can't imagine him doing anything of note there, just like here. Forget attitude, age, off field issues - the guy just was not a good football player. He could transform into Mother Theresa, but he still won't be able to find and tackle the runner. Raven fans will learn to see what we saw.

Im glad he is gone, but Im not gonna say that he doesn't have a chance to be better with the Ravens than he did with us.

+1 He had only a few good games for us, but going to the Ravens 3-4 D behind their D-Line should help him out a lot.
