Wow, nice. Davis really improved last year and he's still very young. A little surprised that they got done with him first instead of iupati, but that's one fewer extension to sorry about

I have not been especially kind to AD. I still worry about his pass protection, but admittedly not as much with Kaepernick at QB. Still, I am pleased enough with this move. He is still young and improving, so maybe he can truly win me over soon enough.

Gotten better every year. I think now is a good time because if he improves even more next year, his demands go up

Would have preferred Iupati first, but I'm happy with this

I like the move. They obviously feel AD is improving as well. I wonder if eventually he'll move to LT.

Very fair deal. 17 mil guaranteed isn't too bad; just in case he gets lackadaisical now that he's got money I think that would leave us some cut flexibility. Andre smith can't like that Lol

Good news to wake up to this morning.

Glad the Niners remained patience with him and didn't move him to guard like most here wanted.

Good work, Front Office. Like many, I too would have preferred signing Iupati to an extension... Don't want to lose that guy! I want him to be a 9er for life!

Thanks.

Fret not 49er fans, Iupati is probably next in line. After seeing how bad our offensive line was in previous years, there's no why they don't extend him.

I think that's why he got extended first. The possibility that he could play LT down the road. Personally, I think he needs to slim down some, but the fact that he's so young and really only scratched the surface was incentive enough.

Glad were starting this. Seems kinda high for a rt, but 17 gtd looks good. And I'm sure he won't see a lot of it.

Staley got 6 yr 28 mill extension years back as a lt. Lolling at his contract breakdown, that was a huge steal and he's getting super under paid.

But that's one off the lost. Hopefully iupati is next
