Sweet, will rotate in nicely on the interior.

What's the status on the pick 125 trade?

They're waiting to see if their player is there so we have to have a board ready for 125 just incase.

Right now Mark and b_rent have K9 at the top of their boards.

F11 is the next choice on Pack's board

K2 or T9 are in the mix for me.

Well said, provides much needed depth no question.

I see, well in preparation that we'll be making the pick, I would rank the players like this (at the moment):

K2
K9
T9
F11

I think the K's are both going to be limited to a specialist role if we take them, but have each shown the ability to be effective in such a role. I really like T9's size - something the IRL front office has expressed desire in. With the late round guys, though, I can't claim to know much, so I will listen to arguments for/against selecting them.

I really like the Bennie Logan pickup. Personally, i think he is as talented as many of the the players thought of as 1st/2nd round picks at DT, he just doesn't bring it as consistently.

He would contribute early in passing rushing situations, but if everything were to go as planned he is capable of being a solid all around player. Nice pick.

WalterFootball's post on K2

4/6/13: out for the year with a broken foot in the first week of the season. He would have been better off taking a medical redshirt and returning for his senior season, but he has decided to enter the 2013 NFL Draft instead. ______is more likely to have a big freefall than crack the first round.

____checked in shorter and lighter (6'2, 250-ish) at the Combine than he was listed at Florida State. ______ isn't big enough to be a defensive end in the NFL and will have to play outside linebacker.

I know we found a real good undersized player at the position before, but this is what I'm basing my thoughts on K2 off of. I don't know, if you guys think he'd be good for us, then pick him. I just don't see him as a do-it-all guy I guess.

Need to cross K2 off your list, looks like the Texans are after him.

What's going on, aren't we on the clock? There are two picks ahead of us not yet made...

Okay Seattle picked Reid Fragel, OT and Houston picked Brandon Jenkins, DE.

Will Carolina accept the trade for pick #125?

I believe X7 was already taken.

T7 and F11 are certainly safe selections, both don't offer a ton of upside but can certainly provide depth in someone goes down.

K9 and T9 have huge upside, T9 actually reminds me slightly of another player who most people felt like wouldn't translate to the NFL who fell to the 5th round. Richard Sherman. K9 presents an opportunity to rush the passer, the most import weapon in the NFL today. He gives us the ability to consistently give us pass rush if someone goes down and has the upside to turn into a productive starter.

Can't go wrong with any of these guys just a matter of how "safe" you want to play it.
