If I where the General Manager for the Chiefs, here is a contract that I would consider offering to Samari Rolle and his agent upon passing a physical exam. It is basically a 6 year contract with a $13.5 million dollar signing bonus and a $4 million roster bonus due after the third year. This contract in reality is a 3 year deal that will require the Chiefs to have Rolle either restructure the contract or cut him, so the last two years are very unlikely to be reached as is. Also, I took a page from the Minnesota Vikings and included some performance bonuses that if not met, will be credited to the next year's cap total of each contract year in which the performance bonuses aren't met. They total about $500,000-$425,000 per year maximum. Check it out and let me know if you think this is realistic and if it could get Rolle into a Chiefs uniform or atleast make us competitive for his services.

Where did you hear this? I saw it on one site (profootballcentral I think) but not on ANY of the major sites (I.E. espn, sportsline, nbcsports, etc...) are there any places BESIDES profootballcentral that report this? _________________ Without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer. | Okay. Let's say that Rolle to WAS is true. I can't see any way they could hold on to Smoot. How about trying to get him? |
