Barkley goes top 10

Im guessing u think to the Jets @ 9?

Ballsy though

Ive had him pegged for Buffalo since the beginning of the month, but he could go a bunch of different places. That's why I have him in the top 10. I think qb is too important of a posistion, and too many teams need one for there not to be 2 or more qbs selected early on.

Bjoern Werner, DE, Florida State
He took a tumble at the combine, where he looked pretty stiff in workouts and didn't show off any elite athletic traits. What Werner has is a year of really high productivity, but teams aren't convinced he can scare defenses. He could go in the late first or early second, but I once viewed him as top-10 pick.
Who was that, who was harassing me over some retarded sig bet about Werner having an elite first step, and him showing that eliteness at the combine??? Who ever it was, they sure have shut the hell up and left me alone thank goodness.
Quote:
Damontre Moore, DE, Texas A&M
Moore arrived in Indy as a good pass-rushing prospect in either a 3-4 or 4-3, and left with questions about how well he fits in either. He's not as fast or with the cover skills you want in a 3-4, nor is he strong enough to play three downs in a 4-3. He could be a steal, because he sure produced in college. But he could be out of Round 1 entirely on most boards.
Didn't even mention his character concerns, or the fact he BP 12 reps at the combine. Which I don't care what anyone says- anybody who's gonna be paid millions to put a hurting on other extremely gifted and powerful grown men, better put up more than 12 reps on the BP *cough*cough* Barkevious Mingo

Didnt you have Moore listed as one of 2/3 guys you would be happy with at 5? Ive never been that high on these two but cant say i predicted this fall either. Just curious as to your point when you had Moore as a top player. I could be wrong on this one but easnt it you that had that bum safety jefferson from Oklahoma as the top safety?
I said some things back in December and January early in my evaluation process. That's something that changes for everyone from December-April, not just me.

It's easy for you to come around and call people out when you post once a month. That's quite cowardly if you ask me.

Yeah i just can hear ya there, fair point. Im pretty much viewing this site from phone 99%on of time these days and its just not worth the trouble have the time. I come here for information and imagination so dont take anything the wrong.....you know i like to give you a hard, you insist upon yourself.

Of course everyone changes there opinions over time (really pulls all of our cards for how dependeng we are on the people we are so critical of) whi h is why i was curious you were calling someone out a player you top3.
Alright, well yeah back around November-December I was really bummed about this draft class if people remember. I've been pimping Warmack since the collegiate season, but like everyone else figured there's little to no chance we draft a guard that early.

Moore was an early favorite of mine for the selection by default. I just wasn't that impressed with Werner, and Jarvis scared me from the beginning with that spinal stenosis. Joeckel was gonna be gone before our selection, and I hadn't given much thought over Ansah or Fisher.

As for Jefferson, I still believe he's a good player that someone's gonna get in the mid round and be happy with. But I never considered him a first round talent or anything.

Here back in November I have him as a 3rd round selection: http://www.footballsfuture.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=505061

And here back in December I have him as a 2nd round selection: http://www.footballsfuture.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=507167

For awhile I just thought he was the best of a bad bunch of safeties. I was never high on him as I was with Mark Barron if people remember.

- Jets will land Geno Smith and Tavon Austin.

- Ryan Nassib will be the first QB taken in the draft (pick 8 to Buffalo).

- Desmond Trufant will drop along with a lot of other CBs due to the rise of DJ Hayden and Jamar Taylor.

- The Lions will stick with their board which will upset people... again.

- The Lions will draft a WR before the 4th round.

We need a new draft thread.

ESPN talking Eifert going top #15, possibly top #10.

Kiper's hearing Swearinger going 1st round. He's always been my #1 overall safety.

Todd Mcshay has Eifert going to the Browns @6 and said teams will have to trade into top 5 to get him.(said it yesterday on 6p.m. sportscenter

Lots of talk about the Lions trading down with Miami. Almost makes me want to start throwing out names for possible players to draft. Razz

Eh. At this point, I have Justin Hunter over Austin. Both would be good additions to our offense. Hunter just compliments Calvin a lot better in my mind.

Last I heard 5 teams (including the Lions) were making calls to move down in the draft. It doesn't work as well when there's so many teams looking to move down and there isn't that top can't miss prospect that someone wants. I'm not getting my hopes up for any big trade.

They could move down, but it's going to be hard.
