Haha this is true. I was just arguing the fact that we were using a selection on a 3rd string RB when we could have used that anywhere else. I wouldn't have selected two guards in the seventh and probably would've used the other pick on the best available CB or Dlineman. My biggest gripe with this draft was the Wilcox pick because we need a free safety and he's a strong. Obviously he'll be a backup and that's fine but I'd rather pick for gems that could start.

But honestly this was real fun and I felt like I had a pretty solid input on most of these picks. Wish I was here for the first one and earlier on this one.

Thanks, one of my goals was to make everybody feel involved. This can be hard at times when everybody disagrees. Hopefully you and everybody else can participate in FFMDI next year. It's a lot more work but much more rewarding. Your argument is very fair and I can see the point, though I also believe that Murray is heads and shoulders a better prospect than the remaining players. The Steelers GM is willing to trade Sturgis for Murray by the way. He didn't know he was still available so we can make that trade if you want. I originally wanted Sturgis anyhow.

As for Wilcox, Jones has played FS his entire pro and college career. Clemons moved over to SS after Bell left.

Negative, Jones played a bunch of games at FS his rookie year but the new staff moved him to SS where he has blossomed. Never had the range to play FS in the big leagues. Clemons is our FS. The staff is high on Kelcie McCray so Wilcox to backup Jones wouldn't be terrible...plus Jones' last year of his contract is this one.

That's negative, Clemons was the starting SS from day one of the season. It's a common misconception around the league because our defense is reversed. Odrick plays RE, Smith played RCB, and Jones played FS.

Our defense doesn't really differentiate between a FS and SS

Phillip Lutzenkirchen wouldn't be a bad pick up

Picked up Ryan Spadola, WR, Lehigh and Brandon Hepburn, ILB, Florida A&M. Hepburn is a really athletic but raw linebacker.

Next one should be one of Tourek, Cotton, Lutzenkirchen or Brett Maher.

Candyman, your in charge. Something came up and I can't be here posting every hour today. See if you can bring in a FB. I should be here around 9.

Picked up Braden Wilson, he is a hard nosed, tough lead blocker from Kansas St. Also picked up Zach Brown, who is one my favorite sleeper at K, to compete with Carpenter.

The Dolphins claim: Ryan Spadola, WR , Lehigh
Miami Dolphins claim: Brandon Hepburn, LB, Florida A&M
Miami Dolphins claim Braden Wilson, FB, Kansas State
Miami Dolphins claim: Zach Brown (Zachary Ramirez), K, Portland State
Miami Dolphins claim: Jeff Nady, OT, Nevada
Miami Dolphins claim: D.C. Jefferson TE Rutgers

Great job, we got 6 good players. We need 2 more for an 80 man roster and 12 more for a 90 man roster. I'm back early by the way. I like Everett Dawkins for our next pick. Thoughts?

Hold that thought, he was drafted. I was surprised he was still available. I'd like to bring in someone at DE, we're pretty short there right now.

I dont believe were short at all.

Wake, Okafor, Vernon, Odrick, Shelby and even Misi can play there.

So far in the UDFA we covered most of the things we failed to accomplish in the draft:
A Fb to compete with Polite
A K to compete with Carpenter
A blocking TE
LB/ST depth
A developmental OT
A WR who can make the team

I meant that we are short at DE as far as camp bodies. We do need a longer rotation especially with all of the offensive linemen that we have. My favorite pickup is Spadola. Nice job on him.

Edit: I made a claim on David King, DE, Oklahoma. Has good upside.
Edit: Miami Dolphins claim Ben Cotton, TE, Nebraska, was on your list and we carried about 5 TE's last year so why not?
