Honestly he's probably matured a lot since our days with him. Maybe he finally realized money doesn't make the world go round'.

You could tell as soon as he was drafted that all he cared about was getting money. Football was not a high priority in his mind at that time.

Since he should now appreciate things given to him. He's working hard to get a second chance and prove himself. It would be frustrating seeing him tear it up on another team, but I'm not going to root for him to fail.

I wouldn't say I am rooting for him to fail, because that's just not what I am into in life.
I am basically saying that no matter whatever he does I will just never care. Just don't care, he burned my team and that's that.

I wouldn't mind him being on our roster tbh. Second chances are necessary. Nothing to lose. Put a nice clause on a 1 year deal, and it'll be like he wasn't there.

Hopefully he is doing it for pride and love of the game and not just a paycheck.

He could always spin it. But he burned bridges with the fan base here and I can't see him doing well here. The fans would kill him. I can still remember seeing him leaving the Collie getting booed in the parking lot. This fool rolled down the window and said something like, "At least I still got money."

I think the entire fan base was done at that point. Confused

It's good that this is finally happening.

Good for JaMarcus so he can at least live the rest of his life knowing he tried hard to make it, albeit 6 years late, and it's good for the Nation that we can most likely see that, even if he had tried hard, he most likely doesn't have and never had what it takes to be a successful NFL QB, and we can put the "never tried but mighta been great" idea to bed.

I do wish him well though.

If he would have known when he got drafted he needed to be that guy as in the leader and landmark of his team he would not be where he's at now. Just put down the purple drank and Twinkies

The only reason he is doing this is because he is broke. His only other job prospect is flipping burgers and asking people if they want fries with their food.

Not saying I'd want him on the Raiders team. That ship has sailed. I still can't forgive him for how ungrateful he was here and how lazy he treated the job.

I never wanted Russell to begin w/ and thought he shouldn't have been touched til the second round. Good for him for trying but I don't wish him any success. Dude is an absolute bum who didn't give a crap about anyone but himself while he was here. I can't respect that

I'm actually with you on this. It's nice to hear he's dedicating himself to the game, no matter the reason, but it would've been even nicer had he done it 6 years ago.
