As much as JR is to blame for his fall, it is also the Raiders who are at fault for drafting him. there are so many other guys that we could have taken, but we wanted the strongest armed guy. Yeah he failed and I personally don't think he will get on or stick with a team due to his intelligence, however if he does best of luck to him.

But to be real he is just another in a long line of poor personal decisions that the Raiders have made in the last ten years.

I'm sorry but you're wrong. His failure to even attempt to being anything other than a lazy, Lean-slurping, oaf is the fault of no one but himself. Actually, not sorry. That's the truth.

I agree he is the the product of HIS choices but the Raiders are the product of THEIRS, and he was one of them.

"JahMahcus Russell is a great playuh. GET OVAH IT!!!"

There's the reason we made so many bad moves. Notice how much things have changed in a year and a half?? LOL.

For real though. I'm glad to see we are moving in the right direction, this year may be a wash, but I'm super stoked for next season.

And who knows, we might actually be good this year.

I agree whole heartedly...he was young right out of college and he let the money get to him. It doesn't mean he doesn't deserve a second chance if he works hard to earn it.

Yes, his selection hurt this franchise, but I hope he finds some type of success in this league.

Turning his comeback attempt into reality TV doesn't fill me with confidence. Dude needs money.

Blaming Al Davis for Jamarcus being a POS. Wowwwww.

Think it would have been any different if he went #3 to Cleveland? Get real.

I don't think he's talking about you. He had a point about Mayock too.

This could all be avoided by using this "quote" button. Give it a shot.

Hope I'm not being referred to as a Russell homer?? I was more ready than anyone to see him go.

No doubt he needs money, but he won't earn a lot without hard work...I don't care for the guy, but hopefully he does something with.

Or you could take your own advice and go read the posts again, "killer". Didn't think I'd need to connect the dots for narcissists who think every post is about them. Then again, its only you who did it. Shocker.

Good job, you learned how to use the quote button. Now this will alleviate all confusion down the road. Good job, again!!

Now back to more pointless JaMarcus Russell discussion.....

Once again I never said it's the Raiders fault for JR's problems...It was the Raider's fault for drafting the dude when pretty much everyone else in the top ten that year is an all pro or future hall of famer..

LOL the Russell Homers of yesteryear come out of nowhere to defend him.

I lurk all the time, I just don't post as much as I used to. A lot of the off-season discussion is over my head and most of the time I don't know what the hell you guys are talking about (I don't watch much college football anymore). Secondly, I lose more interest in the Raiders on a yearly basis as it gets tiresome defending their moves and thinking next year will be any better. It's an emotional roller coaster I had to take a step back from. In 2007 when I joined, I was unemployed without any kids. Now I have a mortgage and 2 kids. I still post in game day threads, but to tell you the truth I don't care how we get there, but I'm ready to see winning as a final product before I attempt to even try to invest myself emotionally again.

With that said, any player that looks as though they should never get on the field again and has been out of the game for years only to spiral completely downward in life as well, then try to turn it around and bring himself back to relevancy, should hold some appreciation in what he is doing. Most people that hit rock bottom stay there. Only the chosen few people can hit rock bottom and find a way to rise to the top. I don't wish for any person in life (not just football players) to stay down. Any person that can sit and look at another person and wish for them to remain at the bottom of the barrel has some serious life issues that they need to address. Especially a person you probably never even met...

Russell will never be the Raiders problem again. I can't see why anyone hopes that he doesn't work hard enough himself to make it back to the league. It's not like he wouldn't deserve it if he did get back in the league...
