Hmm, I like the idea of adding this pick. Did I miss someone drafting The Judge? If he's still there I'm more into this. Especially knowing we still have next year's extra first rounder tucked away.

I'm gonna APPROVE.

I'd accept the hell out of that deal. Why, you ask? Because it would net us any of these players:

ILB Manti Te'o
C/G Barrett Jones
DE Margus Hunt
QB Tyler Wilson
S Phillip Thomas
S Matt Elam
C/G Travis Frederick

I'd be 100% down with any of those players.

Arrow My pants get tight at the thought of a D-line featuring Hunt, Poe and Ziggy. With TJax's contract expiring after next season, the pick would make a ton of sense and it'd give Hunt some extra time to work on his leverage and overall technique.

Arrow Tyler Wilson to learn behind Alex & Daniel would obviously be awesome, too.

Arrow Jones & Frederick would also give us some much needed youth/depth on the O-line.

Arrow Thomas & Elam would fill what I consider to be our biggest need at FS.

Arrow ...and Manti Te'o, diva issues aside, would be a steal and a half in the 2nd round based purely on talent. That's especially true since he'd be paired up with DJ in the middle.

It's tough because I don't like giving up 2 third rounders. But since we still have our comp pick, I'd be ok with it. For the trade up I would take Te'o, ILB is our biggest hole and he is the prime example of a solid player who sinks before the draft (a la DeMeco Ryans). Him playing beside DJ will help hide some of his hole and having a guy like DJ with him will also help him in the first year LEARN how to play the position.

Yeah. Could be a very good trade and in reality only give up 1 DP to move into the 2nd. Do it.

It is very tempting to try and get Elam or Teo, as well as Menelik Watson who is probably a 1st IRL. Keep in mind we didn't take a LT in the 1st, so its still a decent sized need.

I'm going to reject it though because I think this draft really falls off after the 4th round, and we need starter quality folks at all of the above positions, plus better depth at OG/C/WR/RB. We could easily stay put and still get one of the Thomas's at safety, an ILB like Reddick/Porter/Hodges, and an OT, then in the 4th BPA for depth.

I would accept that

Tough choice between cyprein and teo for me

However I choo see cyprein mainly cauee we already have 3 good lb and getting a saftey like cyprein can really make the secondary elite

Guys, I love the discussion and speculation - that was exactly what I was hoping for!

We need to get some more wallflowers to vote!

I am also going to reject this trade. This draft is deep and as bigs said it doesn't start to fall off until the 4th or so. Therefore 3>2 and we really could use depth at several positions.

I don't see anyone here (very well could be looking over somebody) that would provide as much as an impact as the two picks in the third would have.

I took Rage's in absentia vote as a no vote, so that'd give us 3 no's. Wink

Update :

6 votes to Accept and 3 votes to Reject. I hate to closet this vote out on such lackluster support, but to get this moving along I might have to.

Trade accepted.
