Hey guys looks good so far, I will stop in and offer my opinion but I dont want to be on the staff. I am helping TheVillan with running portions of FFMDII, so I dont want to have a conflict of interest Wink

It looks like you will have a great staff titans0021, best of luck it should be another fun FFMD.

Carolina asked me if we would have interest in Greg Hardy. Potentially looking for a late 2nd/early 3rd. Would anyone be interested in offering our 3rd for him?

I wouldn't mind doing that, as we have a compensatory third as well. It will eliminate one position from contention in the first round, too. I'm of the belief we have our two starters in Morgan and Wimbley, so I don't really want to spend a first on a DE to begin with. Hardy gives us the size we're wanting at DE, too.

Unless your thought process was to have him play DT(Which at 6'4, 290 he's not exactly undersized for), but I feel his skill set and athleticism is still fit for DE. But if it's for him to play at DT, no, I don't want to trade for him.

To me, he would definitely be a DE here. With the comp. third, I would definitely consider offering them a third for him. He had 11 sacks last year, can play the run pretty well, and helps solidify the defensive line rotation that we have been putting in place this offseason.

Obviously I'll wait to hear other opinions before I make any offer official.

I'm down with thing a 3rd up for Hardy but nothing higher. Really would take DE off our needs and go BPA at 10. Him and Morgan would be the starters with Wimbley rotating in.

Hardy is worth a look at, especially with us moving to a bigger line.

For a third I would do it. No higher.

I've sent that offer over to Carolina (our third). Agreed that I wouldn't give up any more than that, but I like what he adds compared to any lineman we would add with that pick, especially since he is still just 24 years old.

I'll take whatever position...I'm a newbie but would like to be involved...so one of the infinite number of scouts seems appropriate. Does that mean I post scouting reports on prospects? Scout the other war rooms and report? Scout the cheerleading tryouts? Scout Apache lands out west?

Feel free to do any or all of the above. Laughing

At some point in the near future (probably tonight), I will probably put together a google doc where I will post the draft code and any scouting reports I receive.

As for the above, question, scouts typically scout draft prospects. Though if you want to look over war rooms and see if there are any players available that may interest you/us, that works to.

Oakland is interested in Hardy too. If they offer their third it would obviously beat out ours(they're 66, we're 70).

In case they do offer, would we want to add anything to our deal to try and beat Oakland's offer, or should we just stand strong at just our 3rd?

I'm thinking we should just stick with our 3rd. My understanding is that Oakland would be looking to trade down in the first and Carolina would include Hardy in that package, not that Oakland would give up one of their very, very few number of draft picks straight up for him.

Just wanted to note that Hardy did move inside to DT on passing downs.

With the way we're looking to get bigger on the DL, he would probably be used exclusively as a 4-3 DE. However, with Gray recently saying we'll show multiple looks, that kind of versatility would also be nice.

In other words, get approving that trade on your end. Laughing Laughing
