Panthers are looking at moving up to our fifth rounder, which is OTC at 10:30. We don't need a lot of picks in this draft, a lot of guys won't even make our roster at this point. We should look to add picks in the next draft.

Would we be interested in moving down?

I'd do it for their 4th rounder in 2014.

Is this an offer or just speaking freely?
Just speaking freely, but I too would do that deal. Unless people oppose it I think we can go through with it.

Anyone against the deal? We don't have a need for a lot of rookies who won't play much and we still have later picks to make an impact.

How many more votes do you need?

The pick is on the clock in a few minutes. If anyone else has an opinion about the trade, speak up now.

My view is that we don't need 12 picks this year plus we have some of last year's rookies who we don't know what they can do. Kirkpatrick, Thompson, Iloka, and Prater might be good players or might not be.

So it's a deal? If so do you want to post it?

Bad deal gave away a pick for nothing because we'll never see that pick!

This is all just fantasy. Is a future pick any different than a player that doesn't affect the team this year?

Thats what I disagree with you cann't say a fifth rounder won't make the team, its not like a fifth rounder never made the team before or that we have addressed all our needs. I've also always thought that trading for a future pick in FFMD devalues the draft. That said its a done deal time to move on.

What I was attempting to say was, in the real draft, you don't get anything tangible for trading for a future pick, but it isn't necessarily a bad thing if there is no player you like. I don't see it as a bad thing.

Yeah, future picks give you optionality when the year comes. The team can move up if need be or has an extra pick that will probably be more useful then.

I'd happily trade a 5th rounder this year for a 4th next or a 3rd in two years. The 5th rounder should get you a marginal guy who would be lost in the shuffle on the Bengals.

Marvin Jones, among others, would disagree

We are on the clock, get your votes in now.

My vote is for Carmelo, Scranton, or Dynamo

I don't see code names Scranton or Dynamo on the list.

How about Flatland?

We're on the clock for our 2nd 6th rounder in about an hour. How about Lazy Sunday for that pick?

And what did his fellow 5th rounders, Iloka and Prater contribute last year? Jones himself was marginal, with a whopping 201 yrds receiving and 1 TD.

Scranton = Spencer Ware dynamo = Dennis Johnson

Flatland to me isn't worth this pick however I can get on board with Lazy Sunday.

I think Carmelo for this pick and Lazy Sunday for the next (or vice versa) would be a good two selections. You agree?
