@TonyPauline: Hearing as of now, the Jacksonville #Jaguars would prefer to trade out of the second spot in round one if possible

Oh, and Phil Savage, Senior Bowl Director said this last night...

Geno Smith has to be on list to create QB buzz that will escalate in coming weeks. Not sure that anyone makes that move. Let KC make pick.

Jax at #2 comes into play for trade. Look for them to try and make small moves down to accumulate picks, if possible.

I used to make small moves down in Madden 11 to get a lot of picks. Then I started going back further so I could get higher picks.

Looks like Caldwell see's the writing on the wall everybody who need a QB in this draft outside of Jacksonville made a move outside of the draft to fill their void. Seems like the Jacksonville fans are the only fans in love with the Geno Smith experience.

You do realize that if a team is trading up, it's either for Geno or Fisher, right?

Also, are you sure you're not a Jaguars fan? They're the only ones in love with Geno.

A lot of Jets fans are starting to fall for Geno.

This is good for the Jets because it shows that the Jags aren't exactly satisfied with the options available with the second pick, including Geno.

Good. It's nice to see that Caldwell looks like he isn't exactly enamoured with the choices available at #2 either.

Of course, wanting to trade down and accumulate picks is one thing...i'll be mighty impressed if Caldwell actually manages to pull it off in this draft. Very Happy

Speak for yourself, I'd be incredibly unhappy if Caldwell's first pick was one of desperation. Especially after being so patient in free agency.

I was referencing the post above.

What makes you think it would be desperation and not just Caldwell thinking Geno was the best prospect?

Geno is a very average prospect in a very weak quarterback draft. Throwing him behind an offensive line that can't protect the side of the defense he sees first is a recipe for disaster .

Being the strongest of a weak class doesn't make a guy worthy of the second pick in the draft.

Matt Ryan was the "strongest of a weak class" too.

That class has proven to be not that weak after all. Matty Ice, Joe Flacco, Chenne, and Matt Flynn were all taken in the 2008 draft.

This class could prove to be the same.

If you think Geno is the guy for your team then take him. Bill Parcells regretted taking Jake Long over Matt Ryan pretty quickly.
