Schiano loves him some Rutgers.
I don't mind this move with our lack of depth at RB and our need for a 3rd down back. He's a good pass blocker that can catch the ball out of the backfield. |

Championship!
But seriously like the move. He did good things at Rutgers and I'm sure he'll don the 40 jersey and everyone will instantly fall in love _________________

He will not wear #40. Better not.
I honestly don't like him much. Not really a fullback, and Lorig is a good one anyway. He is a good blocker, but nothing much with the ball in his hands. Ionno it's not a huge deal and I don't care that much, I just don't think he'll be a contributor. _________________

Meh solid move. Adds depth to the rb position. Liked his potential when he entered the league but really didn't live up to it. Maybe schiano can bring something out of him.

I like it. Dude is better or at least no worse than Blount. He can block and is a tough ball carrier. Plus be can catch and we don't lose having a RB that can leap over people, which was clearly LeGarrette's best attribute. If anyone is gonna get something out of Leonard it's Schiano. _________________

I wanted us to draft him when he came out. I haven't seen him with the Bengals so I'm pretty excited to see what he has. |

Apparently he is better than I gave him credit for, according to Bengals fans. Great blocker, good receiver out of the backfield.
Already way better than Blount. _________________

But how many sacks and fumbles did Brian Leonard give up in his career? Believe me I was a big Blount supporter, but the guy was a one-hit wonder. He was exposed in his 2nd year and never seemed to recover from that Tennessee game where he fumbled the ball like 3 or 4 times. _________________

Blount and Leonard are complete opposites.
Blount has some special abilities, when he can get a head of steam and in the open he's one of the most dangerous runners in the NFL. But doesn't have much burst till he gets a few yards. Can't block, not much of a receiver.
Leonard more versatile, can move him around. Catch, block.
it's a shame for Blount, because he has the talent, but in today's passing league if he never improves his blocking and catching. he'll never get much PT, too predictable. |
