@ryanohalloran: #Jaguars have released DT C.J. Mosley today. Started 12 games last year (601 snaps).

The release of Mosley leaves Jaguars with D'Anthony Smith, Tyson Alualu, Jerome Long, Roy Miller, Jeris Pendleton at DT

Was never really a fan of CJ. Mularkey loved him though.

I WILL RYAN, OKAY?

If the #Jaguars have interest in FA DT Alan Branch, it's not like they had to cut Mosley to create room, but let's connect the dots anyway.

He was graded out by some site (PFF, maybe) as the best player on the defense last year.

Peculiar.

Set to make 2.5m this year, going by the new FO thinking, too much for an average player at best.

If we get Alan Branch then I can't complain much. I did like Mosley though.

If we sign Branch, he should come cheaper than Mosely. Otherwise its a bad move.

This may make DT more of a possibility at two though - we went from pretty deep to very thin.

I did not really like the player, but overall he performed well. Nothing special, but reliable.

If he can be replaced with someone more viable, then this will be a great move, but either way I did not see it coming.

The best of luck to the rest of his career.

Dont know much about the jags but does this move mean the jags can go after Floyd or Lolutelei at 2 or is there a bigger need for the jags like Geno Smith?

Floyd is definitely a possibility. Star still has too many questions. Not that this move really had us question our DT position. As he was a role player for us. The real move was getting rid of PotRoast. Once that happened, I believe Floyd appeared on the radar.

I'm not a big fan of going DT at #2, if we dont take Geno it should be a LEO
