Cardinals trade for Carson Palmer now official. Raiders get back a conditional 7th-rd pick in 2014 if Palmer starts 13 games.

For some reason I thought we had three sixth round picks. Do we, or am I just going mental here?

We have our own pick, the pick we acquired from the AJ Jefferson trade...is that it?

I'm hearing Carson Palmer, whose contract called for $13M in Oakland, will end up making $8M with the Cardinals

Once Palmer is on board, the Cards may be able to get a late-round pick for QB Brian Hoyer, who signed his 2nd round tender

What do you all think his value is, a 5?

The Patriots tried all last off-season to get ANYthing for him, even a conditional 7th round pick but couldn't... so they ended up releasing him and no one signed him until late in the season only to release him soon after [Steelers] so i actually don't think you could get a 5th.

Ian Rapoport ‏@RapSheet 33s
#Cardinals have been shopping QB Brian Hoyer for weeks, I'm told. Steelers had been very interested, but signed Bruce Gradkowski #Staytuned

Looks like Arizona been trying all so.

Khodder is gonna be very unhappy about this news.

IMO, too much $ for a 33 soon to be 34 year old QB that is only slightly better than average these days.

Will be interesting to see if it's a 1, 2, 3 year deal etc.

Mike Jurecki ‏@mikejurecki 2m

USAToday Az will pay him $8 million this season along w/ incentives that will allow him to potentially earn more $$. http://usat.ly/XmkvZs

You know, the average QBs in the league are making this money. I looked at the 5 QBs I find to be the average QBs in the league (Cutler, Romo, Roethlisberger, Schaub, and Rivers) and this is right about how much money they are making. The only thing that's different is Palmer is older. I like it myself

Added: and I mean Romo's previous contract
