After the moves made in Free Agency, we cleared up the safety issue heading into the draft. Goldson should form a "Bash Brother" Duo with 2nd year Safety Mark Barron. We added some depth to the front 7 in LB Jonathon Casilas, DT Derek Landri and DE George Selvie. Offensively, we shored up the OLINE with extending Dotson, however competition will probably be added. The under the radar move I think that was made was TE Tom Crabtree. I think he was very underrated as a pass catcher. Physical player that is reliable pass catcher and route runner. I can see him making the most of his opporutnity.

Going into the draft, I'd say our top needs are:

1. CB (most likely need 2).
2. DT
3. DE
4. TE
5. WR

We all know we're most likely to get Darrell Revis from the Jets, so obviously that's in play here. Here we go;

Trade:
Bucs Trade 2013 2nd round pick , RB Lagerrett Blount, and 2014 2nd round pick that can turn into a 1st round pick based on incentives (Bucs make the playoffs, Revis makes Pro Bowl or All Pro) for CB Darrell Revis.

- Bucs Sign CB Darrell Revis to a 6 year 75 million. 39 million guranteed. Contract between 12-13 million per year.
-Bucs re-sign WR Mike Williams to a 5 year 32 million extension.

Heading into the draft:

1st Round: *TRADE* After Xavier Rhodes is taken at 12 overall, the Bucs move down with the Dallas Cowboys, who value Kenny Vaccarro highly, as they need themselves a Safety to fill the secondary. We recieve their 3rd round pick.
l:
Selection: Tyler Eifert TE Notre Dame\

3rd round: Logan Ryan CB Rutgers

3rd Round Via Dallas: Gerald Hodges LB Penn State

4th Round: Bennie Logan DT LSU

4th Round Via New England: Landry Jones QB Oklahoma

5th Round: Ricky Wagner T Wisconsin

6th Round: Quanterrus Smith DE Western Kentucky

6th Round Via Philadelphia: Zac Stacey RB Vanderbilt

Draft Summary:
Quote:
The way the draft plays out, Dallas values Kenny Vaccarro and makes a move ahead of both Safety needy teams, Carolina and St. Louis.

After making a move to secure Darrell Revis, Bucs make the move down, gain an extra 3rd and get another weapon on offense. Eifert will add another red zone target and threat over the middle of the field. Adding Eifert to an offense that already includes Doug Martin, Vincent Jackson, and Mike Williams can make us a potentially potent and explosive offense if Josh Freeman continues to improve. Great move.

In the 3rd round, we add to the defense. Logan Ryan is very good in man coverage schemes and working out with Revis and playing for Schiano, makes this a great fit. We can move Wright into the slot and suddenly our secondary is pretty darn good. With the 3rd round pick from Dallas, we go ahead and fill the LB spot. Hodges is a guy that can play all 3 downs and I just see this as a steal. I've been high on him for a while now and it's really shocking that he's a 4th round grade amongst several anaylsts and scouts. Vastly underrated here.

4th round, I see us banking highly on Logan at DT. Has upside, but was inconsistent his Jr year. Good against the run and has room to grow as a pass rusher, he can fill in as a rotational DT next to McCoy, joining Gary Gibson, Corvey Irvin, and Derek Landri in that spot. Landry Jones gives us a potential good back up who has upside to push Freeman. He can develop into a starter, has some upside that I like, but I think he can be a great value as a back up and unseats Orlovsky in camp.

5th round, Ricky Wagner gives us competition and depth at Tackle. Could be a long term starter over Dotson if he struggles. The 6th round, we find a potential steal here. Quanterus Smith is a guy I like. Coming off a torn ACL late in November, could be a guy who can be stashed on the PUP list and be a 3rd down pass rush specialist. Like his combination of speed and strength. Zac Stacey is another underrated RB prospect who reminds me of Ahmad Bradshaw. Could come in and spell Martin time to time and runs with power.

Overall, I like the draft. We go BPA at positions of strength.

Like the players taken, but there is almost no way we get Revis without giving up a guaranteed 1st.

doesn't he have a pretty big question about his knee? I don't know a ton about it, but if it's a big question. he could slip to day three

It is. He was a mid rd prospect small school coming off a a recent ACL tear. He's probably going to slip to day three.

I think it is a dream scenario. But it is actually a very likely dream scenario. I don't thin Smith will be there that late. But every other pick looks right and fills a need.

I do think we are going to end up giving up more then that to get Revis. Definitely a first rounder, and a second. But definitely a guaranteed first.

My question is with the trade down is Austin gone? I know beating a dead horse around here, but I think between Stocker and Crabtree we like what we got a TE and maybe a Escobar in the third is worth it, but Eifert in the first? I believe a slot WR like Austin would make this offense complete...

Either way, Revis and this draft would be amazing, nice work

I can't decide how I want this draft to go so my comments are irrelevant
