I don't see how that can be when Smith's hands aren't the best on the team. It isn't a detriment but Smith, since 2010, tends to drop more balls than he'd used to.

The only one that may have better hands than him on our receiving corps is who? Lafell?
Olsen Cool

Olsen, "hands" down, has the best hands on the team.

And do you guys want Hixon or not? I'm inclined to say no if it means we don't take a WR in the first two rounds.

Me personally, I say no, we have Ted Ginn now, draft a WR that can come in and play right away and also be Smitty's eventual replacement. So No thanks to Hixon. He left Charlotte without a contract anyway.

Provides great depth, not a huge name. Not a bad move by any means

He signed a one year deal. Don't worry about it.

I don't see anything wrong with bringing in players to push guys like Pilares, Adams and Gettis.

I see virtually no way Armanti makes the team now that he has zero connections in the FO.

Another solid move by Gettleman. I really like what he is doing so far.

Decent pick up. I suspect this is the end for Gettis like the end was for Edwards when we signed Ginn.

I still believe that WR is an early round option for us though, which may push Pilares out the door.

WR once the season starts:

Smith
Lafell
Hixon
Ginn
Rookie (Patterson/Rogers/Bailey)

WR out the door:

Edwards
Pilares
Gettis

We have done a pretty poor job of drafting wide receivers since Smith. Colbert, Carter, Robinson, Edwards, Gettis, Jarret and that's all that I can even remember right now. The only one that has turned out to be decent is Lafell.
