Agreed, Bucs are definitely one bat away from being very very serious. They need someone who can start everyday in 1B and RF, granted the platoon has worked very well thus far and it'd be tough to mess with that and the chemistry. But it'd be nice to get an everyday guy at one of those positions.

RF's played this year- Jones, Martin, Tabata, Snider, Inge, Tabata (Maybe Presley?)

Doesn't necessarily have to be a guy like Stanton, could even be a guy like Lambo who is tearing it up this year. But in most reality, whoever it is will most likely be a stop gap til Polanco comes up next June ish.

I don't get the lovefest for Inge. He sucks. Plain and simple. Why are we giving Snider the warm spot on the bench for Brandon Inge?!

I'd rather see them push a prospect forward than play Inge at this point. If he means that much to the clubhouse, offer him a coaching position and keep him at that salary. Save the roster spot who isn't someone below-average.

Absolutely, I don't think the love fest for Inge is anywhere but the clubhouse with the staff. Plenty of guys in AAA who can bring more to the team than Inge. Versatility is the only thing he brings that some guys might not be able to.

Except RF isn't part of his versatility. They're not helping Snider's development there.

Well neither is playing Jones there a bunch. Gonna be tough for Snider to shine there until he locks down RF for himself. But either way Inge is no good and doesn't bring much to the team.

Anyone else find it funny that Cole seems to be hitting better then he is pitching Laughing Not saying he is pitching bad but his bat isactually looking pretty decent

Cole > Inge, Barmes, Mckenry Cool

This team is just doing everything well right now, they are so fun to watch. Just say your prayers they can take this down the stretch.

The Pirates have some terrific OF prospects in the system with Bell, Polanco, Barnes, and now Meadows. No matter who emerges from that group to join Cutch and Marte the Pirates will have the best OF in the majors.

I wonder if they'll push for Meadows to play 1B? If I recall, his downfall was his arm isn't that great. Not bad, but not special. However, he is a pretty good fielder and I remember them saying he has a good glove. I wonder if they'll transition him to first? We could use it. Who do we have in the pipeline outside of Alex Dickerson?

Allie, Curry, and Danny Collins.

Curry and Dickerson are both having sub par years. We all know how Allie was killing it in low A and is now adjusting to high A pitching. Collins was drafted this year and is playing for Jamestown is hitting very well. Hes hitting .316 with 4 HR. I know its a small sample size but I don't think its something to over look. Its a pretty weak position for us. Switching Meadows to 1B is an interesting idea but he has plus speed so I wouldn't like to see his speed wasted.

Cutch, Alvarez, Locke and Grilli all make the All-Star team. First time since 1981 that the Pirates have had at least four make it.
