If he can be what he once was this could be the best signing by far.

This makes me happier then the Wallace signing....

Great move Ireland....Grimes is very good in the Zone and could really help what ever rookies come in.

What is the deal with all the 1 year deals throughout the league? Is there a reason Miami and others are unwilling to give more than 1 year deals for many players?

The players want to test FA next year since as a whole, money is down this year.

Salary cap is flat, it will increase in 2014 a little bit and in 2015 by a lot.

Love that it is just a 1 year contract since he'll be 30. Solid signing. It definitely helps the secondary.

So I am guessing Miami will go O-lineman in the 1st round. If Oak gets Flynn and Ari gets Palmer that means they will probably won't draft a QB in the 1st round diminishing the probability that one of the top O-lineman falls to Miami.

and you basically sign a guy for a contract year....he will be playing a big payday next off-season....if he signs with someone else....comp pick baby if he sign long term with the phins then you land a very good player...it is a win-win.

He was asking about all the 1-year deals in the league, not about Grimes specifically.

Lance Louis-ACL

Dustin Keller-ACL

Brent Grimes- Achilles.

Good chance they are testing their injuries. If they are healthy, we will see a resigning.

He is a young 30. He doesn't have a lot of wear on his body as other CBs do. He came into the league at a later age. He can possibly play at a high level until he is 33 or 34. This is his test year.
