I really like this signing and mentioned Matt Slauson a couple of times in my mock drafts.

-He is big 6'5" 320lbs.
-He is cheap.
-He is a good pass blocker allowing 0 sacks last season.

He might not be as good as Louis, but he is a comparable player that can start at LG.

Durable, started every game out of 48 the past three seasons.

I like this better than Moore due to the age difference. Very solid signing.

I hope they still draft an OG early.

Whats crazy about all these signings is that it leaves the draft wide open, we can literally draft BPA with no remorse. Emery is KILLING IT right now.

Is it the great signings he has made, on the whole, or the fact those ears do it for you? Laughing

I kid, I kid....I certainly relate to the sentiment.

From Emery:

Slauson will challenge for either of the starting Guard positions.

FWIW - Slauson was ranked higher than Lance Louis by PFF, and was Walter Football 10th best FA OG.

Upgraded LT
Upgraded RT
Upgraded LG*

*Slauson could play either side, but I'll put him on the left for now.

Wow, great news (not that I know anything about him other than the minimum). If this works out he could get a longer contract.

Kind of strange that the Jets made no effort to resign him since he had started 48 straight regular season games and several playoff games. Perhaps they have one of the big name tackles sighted in the draft.
