Sign Brent Grimes! Then we run out of cap... Draft day comes, we smokescreen everyone into thinking Austin will be our pick but we take...

1. OT Lane Johnson *Trade 3rd to move up a few spots.
-With the Vaughn Martin signing, it's clear that we expect Odrick and Vernon to share the DE spot opposite Wake. No good value at corner here. This leaves OT and the Chargers in line to land Johnson before us so we do what we have to.

2. CB Blidi Wreh-Wilson *Trade 2nd to move down and regain a 3rd.
-Perfect fit in our scheme after a small trade down to regain a third. Should fit nicely as a starter opposite Grimes.

2. G Alvin Bailey
-Incognito, Jerry, and Louis are all free agents next season.

3. RB Montee Ball
-I think we want to run a committee at RB and with an unproven Thomas and Miller, Ball would be a good pick-up here.

3. FS Phillip Thomas
-Clemons will be a free agent next season and the safety position is as important as corner in a zone based scheme.

4. LB AJ Klein
-Zone linebacker, nice fit and needed depth.

5. K Dustin Hopkins
-Looks like we might be looking to replace Carpenter.

5. DT Kwame Geathers
-Isn't the first time Ireland took a NT with a late round pick. Could develop nicely alongside Randall. Depth on the defensive line is always important.

7. Unimportant

C: Pouncey, Samuda

RT: Martin, Garner, Yeatman

LE: Odrick, Vernon
DT: Starks, Martin, Randall
NT: Soliai, Geathers
RE: Wake, Shelby
SLB: Wheeler, Kaddu
MLB: Ellerbe, Klein, Spitler
WLB: Misi, Trusnik
CB: Grimes, Wreh-Wilson, Marshall, Patterson, Stanford
FS: Clemons, Thomas, Wilson

Pretty realistic. I would not be pleased with a RB that early.

We were going after Mendenhall in free agency so I can see us going for a RB with how unproven these two guys are, along with both of them having injury concerns. But I get what your saying, would rather go CB myself but I don't think we double down. So much depth at the position in the 2nd and 3rd.

I like the draft....Kicker may be a little high in the 5th, but then again this team lost two games due to its kicker....

I know, but kickers have been going earlier and earlier each year, might as well get the best one. I have a strong belief that we will get a kicker somewhere in the draft considering the Keading/Carpenter situation that arose late last season. A FB too, probably in the 7th to compete with Lane.

I love it. Ball would be a perfect fit for our system. A one cut runner and a guy that does everything well. I think him and Miller can be a nice one two punch.
