Maybe it's me, but that picture doesn't fit with any of the other photos? I know it's from the Vikings website, but the purple is very different from what we've been shown in the other teaser pics, and the resolution and overall display of the picture doesn't match the other photos.

Seems fishy to me.

It's from Vikings.com. Also, from Twitter:

@andersonj @Vikings why the difference in the colors of purple? Is it just the lighting? #VikingsUniforms

Yes, just the lighting. @Vikeologist @Vikings

I think it just shows that the numbers will be one color

The picture of the numbers looks to be a simulated graphic, the same one they use when you order a jersey off most sites. It's a real picture but has a "digital" feel. That's why I think it looks lighter.

Or it's the cheapest version of the jersey, which doesn't have any of the detail the other's do.

it seems to me the numbers are sort of blah, just being white with no surrounding trim accent.

what do you think?

Don't mind the single colored numbers, as it follows the traditional theme. But I'm not to thrilled with the rounded corners.

I don't know about anybody else, but I'm a fan. It works well for the 49ers, even though their numbers seems a little more boxy.

Huh, I hasn't noticed that at first. They still look very simple and classic so i can't complain. It still looks a lot better than the numbers on the current ones which are rounded on every corner.

I was so giddy when I went on vikings.com and saw the numbers. I much prefer plain white over the gold trim as it's looks clearer and less "fuzzy" I guess. Just look at how the numbers pop in the photo from a quote i posted a week or so ago

I LOVE the numbers on these ones, the classic non-rounded off corners. And the numbers pop so much without the yellow trim from the contrast of the dark purple and white.

Here's to hoping the new ones have numbers like these. Very Happy

The Vikings might get extra, free, advertising if AP should win the Madden cover vote. One would assume that he would don the new jersey for the cover.

So by piecing together all the clues we pretty much know how most of the uniforms will look like. I think the two big questions to remain are what the sleeve stripe design will be and how the away ones will look. (i.e. purple pants?)

I think it's pretty much a lock the facemask will be gray as they posted the throwback helmets on twitter not too long ago. Yes, I know they clarified they weren't the new ones and just the throwbacks I really doubt they'd post them if it didn't relate to how the new ones will look.

I'm guessing the new helmets will match the jersey color (a little lighter than the throwback helmet's purple), have the updated horn logo, and have a gray facemask.

Isn't that double stripe similar to the Seahawks sleeve? I could be mistaken.

Not to completely derail the Vikings portion of this thread, but take a look at this Cowboys prototype helmet in 1964...could you imagine if they had actually used that logo...brutal.

the boot logo to me looks more like the state of Louisana. with the Dallas spur/star sort of correctly placed, geographically.
