Since I've been left in charge of running this thang, I'm going to slightly (or not so slightly) modify the overall culture of FFMD.

I removed the rule that you can only trade up to 2014 draft picks. Like the real NFL, I'll allow teams flexibility to do trades as NFL teams would (Barring completely BS trades as stated in the Rules).

Instead of limiting, I'm going to have more feedback/grades from writers. So you're not going to "win" by just selling the farm on future picks. Also I'm debating this year of having a vote at the end to decide 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

Just some things I'm thinking about to keep this fun and entertaining...

As Phil Emery said a couple of weeks ago the Bears are open for business and looking to move down.

Love it. Only I would make it so only GM's (or one person per team) gets to vote - and they can't vote for their team.

I don't want to see the Packers come in auto top 3 because of numbers and the Colts don't rank because of numbers.

Great idea, GM voting. Could do a BCS-style (Writers Poll and GM Poll). So teams can see how they did from two independent sources.

Any other ideas let me know...

Reserve first place for the Rams and 32nd place for the Patriots. Wink

Itís been a while since my MOD days, but how feasible is it to change a poll around every 2-3 days or so and kind of reset it?

I ask because it would be kind of neat to have the writers do a SportsNation-esq poll.

Let's not get carried away now (or get me banned).

Plus I didn't run FFMD 13 Part I, just was the monkey turning the wrench to keep it going. Now that I'm actually in charge, it's going to be a sexy party...

Will Comp picks be used in the mock? Also will there be a UDFA period?

Yes to both. I'll just need to figure out how to handle UDFA's...

if we have a UDFA period, i propose this as a way to make it happen

Each team chooses 15 players that they believe will be there after the draft is finished. Each team ranks these players in order of preference. They will then send their list to a mod (or someone in charge). After the draft teams will be rewarded with the player if no one else has them on their list, or if they have them higher than other teams on the list. If there is a tie, you can use draft order to determine who gets the player.
