I knew this signing was going to happen with the cut of Anderson. This is a player that Gettlemen signed in NY.

That seals up the LB position.

Gettleman hasn't done anything flashy but as a whole I really like the list of players we've signed and re-signed.

This team should have a mix of solid veterans and talented young players.

Guys got a great motor, 98 tackles and 5 ff last season. If everyone stays healthy we could easily contend as one of the best line backing cores in the league.

these are all under the radar signings but it is those types of signings that will help a team win rather than the big FA splashes ( just ask the redskins and raiders and maybe the fins and browns this year)

Money! Can't pay Anderson 5 mill to set on the bench or play ST.

Not to mention, I don't think the drop off between Blackburn and Anderson is really that big.

Anderson
Tackles- 38(12 games) 0 ints, 0 ff

Blackburn
Tackles- 98(15 games) 1int, 4 ff

Agreed even though Blackburn was a Middle linebacker for them

Im not sure where you got your numbers from but Anderson had 73 tackles in 12 games not 38??? If you think Blackburn is as good as James Anderson, you fell down and hit your head REALLY HARD or you're drunk!
The 98 tackles Blackburn had were his best EVER?? He's never eclipsed the 100 tackle mark ever. On a team that has needed LBs since LT and Pepper Johnson left he couldnt hack it??? Its a depth signing I get it, but just restructure Anderson's deal??? Anyway, I guarantee Anderson plays at a high level for Chicago.

Alright man I think you're getting a tad bit worked up over there, take a step back from the computer for a few. It was common mistake, I wrote down his total tackles not combined by accident. Second I never said Blackburn was better than Anderson, I was simply agreeing with boondock in which he put "I don't think the drop off between Blackburn and Anderson is really that big". Settle down we are fans of the same football team.
