Will Rex Grossman be back as our backup now that we lost Campbell to Cleveland?

I believe that one of the requirements of a backup is to remain healthy. Rex has a hell of a time doing that. I'll pass.

I'd love him here. I've always loved him. It was a sad, sad day when he left me.

Even as a Florida homer I didn't like the idea of drafting Rex, he should at best be the number 3 that is signed after an injury. He is as erratic as he is injury prone.

Why does anyone actually want him? He has literally zero upside

No. Just so I don't have to listen to idiots screaming about how Rex "single-handedly lost the Super Bowl" for the Bears.

I wouldn't mind Rex as a backup if we also had a draft pick. I see Grossman as a beta version of cutler. I think if we had him and cutler went down we would have a less talented version of him to step in. It wouldn't be my first choice, but I wouldn't be upset if he were here

We certainly have not been given a better option so far.

Was Grossman injured in Washington much? I know he had a few injury-plagued years at the start of his career here, but since then I haven't heard of much.

The boy could get hurt on a QB sneak, a QB Sneak for crying out loud!

Rex could stay healthy as a backup though since he would not be playing much, if any. I don't recall him getting hurt outside of games but I repress a lot of bad memories.

He might, ironically, be the best option out there. McNown is not that trusted or popular.

Heck, the Quarterback Guru might work a miracle on both.

We do, I think, need another veteran backup.
