How many damn CBs do we need?? Sheesh..... Also, he'd probably be too expensive. Let's focus on some areas of the team we haven't addressed the entire off-season like we have w/ CBs. If great CBs were the keys to success, Al would've been the best known drafter in the history of the league, twice. Instead we used all these picks and took all these CB free agents to just suck year in and year out.

That says enough to me. Let's focus our attention elsewhere.

Pretty sure he'd play FS, where we have Bradain Ross and Usama Young. The thought of going into the season with just them and no attempt at an alternative doesn't give you the creeps?

Don't forget Reggie Smith.

He's a smaller converted CB, which indicates to me that he can play FS, I wonder if they try him there or not.

Is he? My bad. Thought he was FS.

I wonder if Jenkins factors in here. He could play FS and there were swirling rumors he would in Dallas.

Free Agent Numbers:

Alex Barron #77
Pat Sims #90
Vance Walker #98
Mike Jenkins #21
Tracy Porter #24
Rashad Jennings #27
Usama Young #26
Kevin Burnett #94
Kaluka Maiava #50
Nick Roach #53
Reggie Smith #36

They have Maiava as 50, but isn't Goethel 50? Weird. But I guess whatever Kaluka wants, he gets.

Travis Goethel didnt offer much on the field, but he served well as basic nourishment for Kaluka Maiava, who consumed Goethel and his number.

Maiava hunted him like a boar.

No Sheldon Richardson, but would be nice to have a ST's ace for a change.

True, but Cribs does have longer arms than Floyd.

Well played sir. Well played.

Why would they? Like clearly stated, it's competition. But just like when Wallace was supposedly signed, you're going to draw your own conclusions to fit your agenda. It's quite funny you want to to laugh at "those people" at this point.

What exactly is my agenda?

I laugh at those people, because they crown players like King, Pryor before they actually do anything. They don't want competition, they wan't the guy with the most swag to play.

Hypothetically, if Baker/McBriar came in and won the job, there is a crowd here who would be livid about starting a mid 30's punter over King. Same w/ a vet QB taking the #2 job over Pryor. Again, they don't want it to happen.

What people want King to play cause he has the most swag. I can literally think of maybe one poster who thinks that way. Who are all these people you speak of. I think its just an excuse to use your anti-swag campaign as much as you can.

This is not true, I don't think anybody has a problem with the winner of any competition being the starter. As far as Pryor goes aren't you the one who says he sucks and doesn't even deserve a chance to compete. I mean this all I been saying all along let's see what he can do on the field. But everytime we sign a new QB you guy's talk about how Pryor is on the way out. Your mind is made up that he sucks, I want to see for myself.

Would be a great return specialist this team has been lacking for years.

Cribbs has said for years tht he wants to be more involved at WR. So if it was our intent that he be primarily a return guy then it's no wonder he is still on the "recruiting" trail.

Well, i'd rather see the young guys be able to win a spot than some mid 30s stopgaps but that has nothing to do with how much swag they might have. If they can't, then so be it.

Thanks for proving the point. He can't win the competition in practice but you want to see him on the field. That's exactly what I'm talking about!

And the fact the staff is constantly looking at QBs, traded for one, drafted another says they don't see any future in him at the position. But yet you want to see what he can do. Without earning the job..... you know, just because.

And my mind isn't made up that he 'sucks'. Just that his arm and accuracy are not good enough to be a starting QB. He can do some things with his legs. Escape and make plays, etc. But as a pure passer who can stand and deliver, skill isn't there. He will never be a passer, just a thrower and that has been a proven failure for years in the NFL.
