I'm taking the combination with the highest ceiling.

If that were the case you'de take Ziggy/Armstead or Johnson/Hunt.

Not true in the least.

I think Armstead is a better athlete then football and I think he will always be that way. The most I expect from him is an average RT. at this point, he doesn't seem to have the drive or dedication to excel at the next level.

Based on what exactly, everything I've ever heard he's a hard worker and he's got terrific feet. Either way from a physical upside he's got the most upside in the draft.

I don't like Hunt at all. I wouldn't even draft him.
At that level of competition, he should dominate. He makes a splashy play and then just disappears for long periods.

Agree on all that but he has way more upside than Williams. A true nose is a part time base package player in today's NFL anyways.

Star/Armstead of that group...

but there are other possibilities, especially if we trade down and acquire extra picks...like

Cooper/Armstead/Williams(Sylvester, Jesse, Brandon)

or even

Cooper/Long/Hunt/Brandon Williams(in the early 3rd)

I won't pretend we can trade down and still get Lane Johnson, but maybe we could get one of the two elite guards. I prefer Cooper for this scheme- he could actually become a key player in Chip's offense. Same goes for Armstead- that athleticism could really be a weapon on screens and running plays.

Brandon Williams is a really underrated prospect for us. He's talented enough to go in the 2nd but he's a steal if he sneaks into the early 3rd.

6'2" 340 38 reps 68 tackles (16.5 for loss), 8.5 sacks, and five forced fumbles. MIAA Defensive player of the year. Easily the most productive interior lineman in the country over the last 3 years. Sure he played against inferior competition, but he absolutely dominated them...and also played well against better opponents.

Fits either at 5tech or zero tech/NT.
