Jason Campbell had hard luck throughout his career especially last year, he has THE WORST offensive line in the history of the NFL. That 49ers game was brutal, I am totally comfortable with him as our backup. He was more than servicable in Oakland and in his last year in Wash. We are totally sleeping on this signing. _________________ @CoachHam6455 |

Pretty good investment, unless the cities and municipalities drastically reduce their police force headcount, imo.
Starbucks is playing with all kind of product additions...everything from "steel-cut oatmeal", whatever that is, to artisan pizzas and such.
All the Dunkin' franchisor has to do is follow Starbucks' lead and they will win. |
Who'd have thought. Charging $5 for a .49 cup of coffee could make you a billionaire. Maybe $4 donuts could be his future? More holes in his game than those donuts anyway. |
What a brilliant line.....and speaking of donuts.....or was it cupcakes? _________________ '14 1st Ballot Recipient of Joe Blackburn Award... A team is built thru the draft. NASA Glenn, we have ignition in Berea. |

Next move: Brandon Weeden being shopped around for a possible trade.
I agree with the comment above that suggests that Campbell will beat out Weeden in fair competition. I actually think Campbell, while not a superstar QB, is far better than Weeden. If this IS the case, they'll keep the low cost McCoy over the 1st round cost of Weeden. |

Except you have the costs backwards!
Sigh, this has been so many times, why are people not getting this.... _________________

I thought we didn't have to eat Weeden's guaranteed money if we traded him? |

i love this signing. Campbell is a much better option than Colt if Weeds doesn't pan out.
my main concern is that Campbell is more of a game manager QB. i was/am looking forward to seeing Weeden develop and bomb it to our young WRs. Campbell beats out Weeds in accuracy imo but doesn't have as much of a gun slinger mentality.
we'll see. either way our QB corps is much improved. |

I'm going to predict that McCoy gets traded to the 49ers.
They have a hundred draft picks and are actively looking for a backup qb. |
I can't say that's the worst guess....
If there's legit competition Im fine with this, but neither qb should be handed the job. |

This instantly improves our QB situation - very astute signing. Weeden now has some heat on him if he doesn't step his game up and has a veteran who has been there, done that, and had some success. _________________

Good signing. Campbell is really good back up who can start in a pinch. However, if Weeden can't beat him out we are still screwed at QB. And doesn't deserve to start. Now I see no QB in this years draft, hopefully we can have enough ammo next year to secure one of the studs. (assuming they become legitimate studs of course)
BTW Grossi actually made a pretty good comment on KNR this morning. He made mention that this is actually an indictment on McCoy rather than Weeden. I agree. Now hopefully we can get something for heem. _________________

I remember as a draft prospect, Campbell was known for a nice arm, with the ability to go downfield. Whether it's through coaching, circumstances, bad habits, or all 3, he's been more of a dink and dunker when I've watched him. He's always had impressive physical skills, but through inconsistent play and a little bad luck, he hasn't amounted to much.
I agree with several others who said he'll most likely be the backup, but he will get his chance to start if Weeden craps the bed. _________________ Suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.
It will happen some day. Not sure when.

Grossi and "good comment" = mutually exclusive. He must be wrong. _________________ Everything happens exactly the way it is supposed to happen...otherwise, it would happen some other way |

So, McCoy makes more than Weeden..Really? (it might be, I don't know, I didn't actually look at contract details, simply assumed that didn't make a ton of sense). |
