When Tim "3 and out" Tebow is your QB your defenses numbers aren't going to look as good as they really are. I'm willing to bet that their 355 yards per game came with more defensive snaps than most teams.

Denver actually ran more plays in 2011 then Cleveland in 2012, so I would guess their defense wasn't on the field very much longer then Cleveland's.

As far as us losing 7 games by 10 or less points, if Tebow was our QB
that stat would be different. I'll say he'd pull out one as a win, and lose the other 6 by more than 10 points. Also, a few of our wins would now be losses, maybe by within 10 points.

Tebow has lost 3 games by more then 10 points..two of them to New England and there isn't no shame in that. Many of QBs have been beat by 10 points or more by Brady and the Pats.

You are right about the snap counts. Denver did have the 6th most defensive plays from scrimmage in 2011 though. Browns just happened to have the 2nd most last year.

Bronco's dropped to 19th last year, and almost a full yard per play. Either the defense got a lot better, or less strain was put upon them.

In the end Tim Tebow is this generation's Doug Flutie. He will never be respected because he isn't the prototype NFL QB. He will always be replaced by someone better. People are crazy for rooting for him. But in the end he wins and in the end he won't get a team that will really believe in him and give him a full time job.

dear god do not disrespect doug flutie like that

I loved Flutie. They aren't a fair comparison though. Flutie was just labeled too small, that is it. Tebow would be a better comparison to Josh Cribbs. They can do a lot of things to help, and were great college QB's but they don't belong behind center in the NFL (imo).

If Tebow proves the world wrong, good for him. The odds are heavily stacked against him.

For DP

He is on the verge of joining the Tebow backers. Just needs a little more pushing.

Their offense this year was no doubt better so less of a strain. But it was also their second year in Fox and Del Rio's defense and a switch to the 4-3. Miller become more of a monster and Derek Wolfe shored up the line as a rookie.

All I've read is Weeden is better because he throws the ball right and threw for 1000 more yards then Tebow in their one year of starting. Everything else is their opinion and I have mine. To me QB's are measured in wins period and Tebow has won more then Weeden. When Weeden leads a team to the playoffs then I will say he is better until that Tebow is a better. I don't care if he has the better arm or passed for more yards. Smile

this is getting ridiculious..... Tebow could not even get on the field over Mark Sanchez..... MARK GD SANCHEZ! lemme guess there was some sort of conspiracy to keep him off the field

So a QB is only judged by wins and wins only in a TEAM SPORT? You're opening a huge can of worms with that line of logic.

Is Terry Bradshaw better than Brady, Manning, Rodgers and Brees?

Tebow has more of a chance to be the answer at TE in Cleveland than he does QB.

Someone should start a poll: Which QB is a worse idea?

-Tim Tebow
-Jamarcus Russell

I honestly don't know which is worse. Probably Tebow, because we'd have to trade for him and he would divide the locker room between the believers and non-believers.

I think everyone knows that decision was more about Ryan's ego than it was about Tebow.

C'mon, this thread is fun. Not Maiava fun, but fun in its own way.

Lets make this the anti-Maiava thread.

Tim Tebow is so bad that Sanchez's butt fumble would be Tebow's 3rd greatest highlight of his career.

Nah, that sucks.

For LAURINAITIS33, Weeden will be a playoff QB after this coming season, so we should just re-evaluate them then.

no division over religion has been found in the other locker rooms so there is no evidence that would occur here.

Tebow has won games. Russell has not. Thats a pretty clear choice on which is worse.

Assuming Tebow is released at some point he would come very inexpensive.

Or maybe it could be that they both are terrible but atleast sanchez can throw the ball a little bit, it isnt some secret that Tebow does show much to be confident about in practice
