This is good news. Hayden will really help us fill the cb position and give us even more flexibility in the draft

Another depth signing. Emery is quickly moving into position to draft the best available players. If things break for the right guy and they have to pass up a CB for instance it won't kill them.

And the FA-a-day streak continues. Laughing

Good move to get him back.

Seven free agents signed in seven days is that?

Glad he's coming back, played well at nickel last season. And the draft talk changes again as the discussion of a CB in the first may quieten slightly. Really liking what we have done in this free agency, leaves us so open in the draft.

Good move, yet predictable with D.J. Moore going to Carolina

I hope he doesn't play the nickel this year. I really don't like the idea of him being on the field that much. As depth only I can feel much better about this signing though, but I hope we have someone more athletic at nickel.

Think of it as a worst case scenario. In an ideal scenario (IMO) we draft our nickel and Hayden is our #4.

#Bears expected to re-sign CB Kelvin Hayden per @vxmcclure23 but he reports nothing official at this point. Would address nickel role.

Still expect him to sign very soon. It's not like he has anything else going on.

Protection against the draft not breaking the right way.

Remember with the Major Wright draft everyone knew we were going safety and the Packers jumped us for Burnett and we had to try and start Wright despite him not being ready.

This protects us.

I would expect Lance Louis to return soon now that he has seen he grass is not greener.

I was concerned with Emery letting our guys hit the market, bu they are all coming back on the cheap.

Sadly - I think its too late. More and more people have Austin going top 16 and even top 10. I've seen at least a couple of the national guys respond to questions about Austin at 20 to the Bears with a 'no chance he makes it that far' response.

I'd love to see us pick him up - I'm just starting to believe that teams have had him rated very highly for a while - and he wont be an option for us.

That is actually exactly my hope, and I would be very happy with the signing if that is the case.

Yeah Austin's hype right now is at an all time high. His play making ability is going to be hard to pass up.
