Qb's don't win playoff games by themselves. I swear I'm so sick of this oh a qb is only good if he win's superbowls. Okay so you can be a great qb on a [inappropriate/removed] team but since you don't win a ring you suck where as you could be a [inappropriate/removed] qb like Eli but since you were on a great team got 2 rings so now your great? GTF OUTTA HERE

Would be a good deal for who is still a very good QB. Also not too long a deal considering his age, but should give us enough time to find and groom an eventual replacement. Now get this man some decent blockers please.

I think Alabama had a shot at sweeping us last year.

I think it's cheap. On the open market Romo would get at least 20m. He will cost us 16.5 this year and at least 20 next year if we franchise him. If he's going to sign a multi year deal it would have to improve on 2 year, 37m (18.5 a year) or it's not worth it for him.

The problem is I don't think what Graziano reported will be the deal.

$17m a year is an outrageous number for a QB who has won exactly one playoff game.

Agree 100%. Somebody should Sig quote this.

Free agents SLB Justin Durant and S Will Allen took physicals for the Cowboys on Monday.

Quote:
Free agent FS Michael Huff was also in town, but he didn't undergo a medical screening.

Link: ESPN Dallas

Wonder if this means we might sign one of them.

@fishsports: @nickeatman: Sounds like coaches think Will Allen is a better fit for cowboys defense than michael huff / Kiffin guy AND Bisaccia guy

Also, Huff has a visit scheduled with Ravens later this week.

I have a feeling this means that Huff wanted more money than the Cowboys could afford.

Not remotely true. The Eagles would've mopped the floor with Alabama by a minimum of 4 TDs. There isn't a college team on the planet that can beat an NFL team. Even with 0-16 Detroit Lions would've beaten the best college football team that season.

Which is why his statement was the quintessential hyperbole.

While obviously true, insert that Alabama roster as a team into the NFL, they might be able to hang in about 5 years. That team is absolutely stacked with future NFL stars.

damn, I like Huff much better. I really think he can bounce back on a team who actually has some CB's and a bit of passrush. Also here, he wouldn't be used out of position at CB all the time.

- Huff could turn out to be one of the bigger steals in this years FA IMO.

Will Allen will be 35 to start this season. If we sign him, I will take a dump in Kiffin's shredded wheat. Do our guys have to be 1st or 2nd round picks to be able to start within 4 years of being drafted?
